Fomo Momo Introduce
For New Jersey residents constantly on the hunt for exciting and authentic international flavors, Fomo Momo offers a true culinary treasure, specializing in the beloved street food of North India—the mighty Momo. Located in the heart of Jersey City Heights, Fomo Momo is far more than your typical Indian restaurant; it's a dynamic, fusion-focused experience dedicated to the art of the Indian-style dumpling and other savory street classics. The name itself is a clever play on 'Fear Of Missing Out' (FOMO), promising a taste sensation so compelling you won't want to skip it.
Fomo Momo successfully captures the authentic, bustling spirit of Delhi's street food scene and brings it directly to the Garden State. Co-founded by two Indian tech professionals driven by a shared passion and a longing for the comfort food of home, the business began as a popular food truck venture before establishing a permanent pick-up and delivery kitchen. This entrepreneurial journey speaks to the passion and dedication behind every hand-crafted dish. Their commitment is to use the freshest ingredients and authentic spices to create succulent momos and rich, savory soya chaap that truly reflect the bold, innovative flavors of Indian street cuisine.
The menu is a testament to culinary creativity, moving beyond the traditional steamed momo to offer a vibrant range of fusion variations. From the creamy richness of the Afghani Momos to the smoky tang of the Tandoori Momos, each option is a 'warm hug in a dumpling,' designed to delight both seasoned momo lovers and those new to the experience. This dedication to variety and quality has solidified Fomo Momo’s reputation as a solid choice among locals in the Jersey City food scene. The atmosphere is consistently casual, and the service is highlighted for being fast, making it a perfect spot for quick, delicious bites.
Fomo Momo is strategically located for local convenience in the vibrant Jersey City Heights neighborhood. The physical address for their operation is 400 Central Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07307, USA.
It is important for local users to note the operational style of the 400 Central Ave location. This kitchen primarily serves as a virtual kitchen, which means it is an essential hub for pick-up and delivery orders. While it is a fixed address, customers should be aware that their storefront experience may be different from a traditional sit-down restaurant, often operating from within another establishment or a dedicated commercial kitchen space. Customer feedback suggests that the storefront is "tucked inside a Deli/grocery store," and is primarily focused on serving the evening crowd.
For accessibility, the Central Avenue location is a main corridor in the Heights, easily reachable by public transport and convenient for local vehicle traffic. As the restaurant is primarily popular for Dinner and Solo dining, its evening focus caters perfectly to residents seeking a late-day or late-night meal option.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Tried the Afghani Paneer Momo from FOMO MOMO in Jersey City—absolutely delicious! Creamy, perfectly spiced, and the paneer was super soft. Easily one of the best Momo I’ve had. Will reorder for sure!
May 31 · E Navaneet KumarIf you're a fan of momos, this food truck will take your love to a whole new level. I stumbled upon their truck in New Jersey, where they frequent popular spots like Newport and Hoboken. Each variation they offer is a culinary adventure, and you can't go wrong with any choice. The "Sexy Schezwan" packs a spicy punch, while the others are more moderately spiced. Personally, the "Amazing Afghani" is my top pick, but the "Tempting Tandoori" is also a strong contender. I haven't tried the "Manchurian" yet, but I'm confident it would live up to the high standard set by the others. What sets these momos apart is not just the flavor but also the preparation and presentation. Even when served from a truck, the food looks great, and the taste is consistently outstanding. They clearly have a secret sauce that keeps everything deliciously unique. If you're planning to visit their store location, be aware that it’s tucked inside a Deli/grocery store and only opens after 3 PM, so plan your visit accordingly. My only suggestion for the owners? Please start serving in the mornings too!
August 17 · Aditya JWhile walking along Central Avenue today to grab food from another restaurant, a sign for Momos caught my eye. As a momo enthusiast who usually treks to Jackson Heights for my fix, I couldn't resist trying Fomo Momo—so I decided to get more food. I opted for the assorted platter for $23, which allowed me to choose three different types of momos. I went with the vegetarian Schezwan, Afghani, and Achari momos, receiving four of each. They were absolutely delicious! The variety of flavors offered at Fomo Momo is impressive. Each type of momo had its unique taste and perfectly balanced spices. The Schezwan momos had a delightful kick, the Afghani momos were rich and savory, and the Achari momos had a tangy, pickled zest that was truly unique. As a vegetarian, I appreciate the diverse options available and am particularly excited to try their Soy Chaap next time—something I rarely find in Indian restaurants. For those planning to visit, a quick note: you'll pick up your order inside the liquor store. Orders can be placed by phone (and I think online—I may be wrong), and my wait time was around 25 minutes. Overall, the momos were flavorful, fresh, and thoroughly enjoyable. I’m thrilled to have found such a gem in Jersey City and look forward to returning soon. I’d give Fomo Momo a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars!
July 03 · VarinderI recently tried the Chicken Assorted Momos Platter at Fomo Momo, and it was fantastic! Each variety of momos was flavorful and the filling was amazing. I tried manchurian, schezwan and afghani and each flavour was beyond delicious. The accompanying dipping cilantro chutney added a delightful kick. Highly recommend for any momo lover!
June 29 · Kushagra AggarwalVery unpleasant experience. There was no an actual restaurant at the provided location. It’s a wine store, you have to call them & order a head to pick up the foods. Please mention about your food ordering policy in descriptions, before having customer to walk over 30 minutes to get there.
