★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1One of our favorite restaurants, Shan never disappoints! We've been here 10+ times. Our go-tos are the dan dan noodles, scallion pancakes (so crispy!), lamb dry pot, and snow pea shoots. The wintermelon ice tea is delicious too although a little expensive. We also tried the chongqing chicken (crispy and spicy) and szechuan wontons recently which were yummy too. They do charge tip on the amount including tax for the preset percentages, which isn't great (usually I just do 20%).
June 28 · ElaineFood and cocktails were delicious, staff were so fantastic. Especially loved the dry pot. Only downside was we felt like the 4 seater tables/chairs were a little too tight for us to sit comfortably in and were pretty small people.
July 19 · Ant WirjoprawiroThe freshest prawn and cleanest dry pot you’ll ever have. It’s like you can taste every single ingredient used! I am in love with their mapo tofu too!
September 20 · TerryMy absolute favorite Chinese restaurant in NYC, hands down. Not only is their menu fantastic (has all the classic sichuan dishes), service is friendly, the drinks and dessert are phenomenal and the ambience is the cherry on top. Their chongqing chicken, chicken and pepper stir fry and cabbage are my go tos. It is also hard to find a place that has traditional ice jelly desserts like they do and it’s such a perfect way to end a spicy meal.
August 16 · ElaineEnjoyed the food so much! Fast service and very flavorful dishes! Now need to go back and try more options!
