### What Is Worth Choosing
El Panadero Bakery is an excellent choice for anyone in the New York area, particularly those in Washington Heights, for several compelling reasons. The primary one is the quality of its baked goods. The bakery is celebrated for its delicious cakes, as evidenced by a customer who was so thrilled with her birthday cake that she said it "tasted amazing" and made her day. The moist and sweet tres leches cake is a particular highlight, showing the bakery's expertise in classic Latin pastries. This focus on delicious, well-made products is the foundation of any great bakery.
However, what truly elevates El Panadero Bakery is its exceptional customer service. The story of the baker's kindness in offering a discount for a damaged cake shows a level of care and personal attention that is rare and highly valued. This humane touch can make all the difference, turning a simple purchase into a memorable and positive interaction. The ability to handle custom cake orders also adds to its appeal, making it a reliable partner for celebrating life's special moments.
While one review mentioned a negative experience with a specific item being "a few days old," this contrasts sharply with the overwhelmingly positive feedback about freshness and quality, particularly regarding the cakes. In any business, a single less-than-perfect experience can happen, but the overall sentiment suggests that the bakery is a consistent source of high-quality products. With its convenient takeout service, acceptance of various payment methods, and an atmosphere geared toward a quick and satisfying visit, El Panadero Bakery proves to be a reliable, friendly, and delicious option. It is a valuable local institution that offers more than just baked goods—it offers a sense of community and the promise of a delightful treat, making it a truly worthwhile choice.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Best bakery ever! My mom placed an order for me for a cake I've been wanting for a very long time. My dad picked it up, but unfortunately he was alone and he didn't realize the cake had tilted in the box while driving back home. I was devastated when I was told the news and even cried. My dad quickly called for another cake and the kind bakers gave us a great discount after hearing what happened. The next day, I was able to get my cake for my party!! This time, some of my family members picked it up together to make sure it was okay. Thank you to everyone who was involved in making my cake and we will definitely get our future cakes made here again!! You all made my 25th birthday amazing because of this beautiful cake!! And it tasted amazing!!
June 16 · patriciaMy first time buying fromThis bakery, stopped in as I was passing.Tres leche moist and sweet but the Dulce de leche very hard not moist, and the rice pudding nowhere near sweet and definitely a few days old.
August 17 · Ivory HuntI've gone to this place multiple times, The sweets / pastry are very delicious especially the cakes, Donut, corn muffins, etc. They also serve refreshing juices and warm drinks like cappuccino, coffee, hot chocolate and more, It depends on what time you come but the wait may be quick or a bit long, However that wait is totally worth it!!

February 09 · MIKEY LAPThere’s a dark skin employee here that yelled at my mother. She’s dark skin and Spanish. we’ve never seen her there before idk if she’s new or what. She asked my mother in a very rude tone what do you want. My mom ignored her attitude at first. My mom continued on her ordering and when my mom asked for another one. The rude employee yelled and said that’s all we have. Now my mother yelled back saying what’s with the attitude and they started to yell at each other. Mind you I was not there, if I was this would have end up differently. My mom walk away without buying anything. And there was another employee here but she ignored what was happening. Also other customers was complaining about her attitude. My mom always goes to this place. Next time we go, I want that employee to speak to me the way she spoke to my mom.
