F&F Pizzeria Introduce
F&F Pizzeria, nestled in the charming and historic neighborhood of Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, stands out in the crowded New York City pizza landscape. It’s not just another slice joint; it’s an elevated experience brought to life by the same team behind the beloved Frankies 457 Spuntino, Frank Castronovo and Frank Falcinelli. This establishment has garnered a reputation among locals and visitors alike for delivering an exceptional take on classic New York-style pizza, with a commitment to quality ingredients and masterful technique. The pizzeria has received high praise, often being cited as one of the top spots in Brooklyn for a truly memorable pie.
The founders sought help from industry legends, including famed pizzaiolo and James Beard award winner Chris Bianco of Phoenix’s Pizzeria Bianco, and Chad Robertson of San Francisco's Tartine, to perfect their crust and dough. This collaboration has resulted in a dough that’s renowned for its natural fermentation, creating a crust that is often described as having a beautiful blister and an airy yet structured texture—a successful blend that elevates the typical New York slice. It’s this dedication to the foundational elements of great pizza—the crust, the sauce, and the cheese—that has solidified F&F Pizzeria's place as a local favorite and a must-try for any serious pizza enthusiast in New York City.
This spot operates out of a somewhat bare-bones, rock ‘n’ roll, converted garage space, giving it a cool, casual, and authentic Brooklyn vibe. While initially known as a takeout-only spot, it now offers a small, accommodating interior with counter space and a much-appreciated backyard patio, which is a fantastic feature for enjoying a slice or a whole pie during the warmer months. Whether you’re a Carroll Gardens local looking for your regular fix, or a tourist seeking out authentic, high-quality NYC pizza, F&F Pizzeria offers a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for all.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Go here for pepperoni pizza @ $35 for a pizza.Babish rated it 9.9 in his YouTube video but that's way overrated.Crust:Charred bottom but it wasn't as crispy as it looksSauce:Tastes a little more acidic than normal, it gets overpowered by the dough. The sauce goes very well with the pepperoni but isn't great on the regular or other slices.Cheese:Not a cheesy pizza so the cheese doesn't stand out at all. It gets lost in the sauce and dough.Pepperoni Slice 7/10- thin sliced pepperoni with mild spice. This is definitely their best slice. It taste totally different than the regular or other toppings.Regular 6/10-nothing really stands out but the dough is tough and it's a struggle to eatHot Sausage & Brown Butter Sage Pizza 6/10-sausage is sweet but it doesn't mix well with the herbs. I think sausage by itself would be better.
August 10 · FoodstahamCame from DC on a whim. Saw some Instagram influencer rave about it. I had free time and a spontaneous attitude and had F&F on the mind, so I took a bus and a subway ride and an extra little walk and came by.The Clam Pizza is great. Very well worth its social media reputation. The clams were like little sausage bites with the chewiness of, well, clams...and they went so deliciously with this slice of pizza. The Cacio E Pepe slice was also fantastic. Nice mild little kick to each bite. Definitely a reliable piece of pie.Since I came a long way, I had to get another slice to go. The Partanna (onions and peppers, I think it was?): absolutely a perfect chaser after my first two slices. The crusts were perfectly complementary, perfectly foldable and chewable. The cheese-to-sauce balance was oh-so-satisfying.The atmosphere, too, was charming. The staff were friendly, despite it being a busy Saturday night. The vibe was filled with local cool people in a Brooklyn-neighborhood sort of way.I really loved it. Well worth my spontaneous trip for pizza.What...? You never traveled to another state for dinner before? 💫F&F Pizzeria 🥁🥁🥁... 10 out of 5 stars 🌟
September 20 · Ryan Dalusungpopped into F and F pizzeria for a slice and left happy. the regular slice hits the basics right: light sauce, good chew, clean finish. the pepperoni is the one i’d tell a friend to get; the cups curl, pick up a little char on top, and add a crunchy, smoky bite. one tip that really matters: get it fresh. wait for a new pie or order a whole one, because the jump from reheated to fresh is huge. fresh is crisp and alive; reheated tastes tired. ordering is easy, you order your slice, call your name, and you can sit anywhere. good vibe, no fuss, and i’d come back for a fresh pepperoni any day.
August 09 · MassimoI live outside of Charlotte, North Carolina. But I am a huge PIZZA fan. I’ve had Pizza in more than 40 states and at least as many countries the best is in New York City and the best of New York City is in Brooklyn. On this particular trip to the Big Apple, I tried three different pizza places. F&F was one of them. I heard Jimmy Fallon rave about it so I thought I’d give it a try. It did not disappoint. The crust was fairly thin with a white crisp but definitely had the all important chew in the middle. Sauce was a little sweet and tangy toppings were balanced. I was especially surprised at the flavor of their regular Slice, which could be called just a cheese slice, but that would do it a disservice. I strongly recommend this place. Note: I ate at the slice shop a couple of doors down from the main restaurant.
March 30 · Ed SmallwoodI changed my views of pizza after having a slice when my husband found this hidden gem recently and brought me in to try on a random date night. My husband is a pizza lover. Unfortunately, I never like pizza in general because of multiple reasons-too much dough, the sauce is bland or it’s too much grease and most importantly I don’t feel good or satisfied after eating it. However, this place totally makes pizza as one of my favorites when I just want to grab a bite in the neighborhood! My husband was so shocked after I told him that I went to grab some after work by myself the other day. My go to drinks are either root beer or Siciliana soda- blood orange flavor :)
