White Horse Tavern - Financial District Introduce
Nestled on one of New York City's most historic blocks, White Horse Tavern in the Financial District (FiDi) is a cherished pub that offers a taste of history alongside a modern bar and grill experience. More than just a place to grab a bite or a drink, this establishment is a part of the fabric of downtown Manhattan. It identifies as a veteran-owned business, adding a layer of community and purpose to its long-standing presence in the neighborhood. Unlike its similarly named West Village counterpart, this location on Bridge Street has its own unique and storied history, with roots dating back to the city’s original Dutch settlement.

This level of personal, attentive service, combined with a great selection of food and drinks, creates an environment where you "always feel very comfortable and well looked after." It’s a perfect gathering spot for locals, groups, and tourists seeking a classic pub experience without any pretense.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Fantastic, small, local owned tavern with great food and drinks. The burgers were great! The pita and hummus was good too! Very small but really delicious food and great service. They sat my family of 5 quickly and food came out quick!
March 23 · David HoffhinesThe White Horse Tavern in FiDi is our favorite pub. The atmosphere is excellent. Sam and Tomas are such kind, accommodating, and generous people that it's worth coming here just for them. The drinks are also excellent and reasonably priced. The food is always delicious and fresh. You always feel very comfortable and well looked after. The whole staff is attentive and helpful without ever feeling pressing or overbearing. Will definitely be back! Highly recommended.
August 29 · EvaMy group of 5 and loved this place! Service was great and we especially enjoyed the wings. Feels like a dive bar. I liked that it wasn’t too crowded and there weren’t large tour groups
March 31 · Brittany IbarraI love visiting Irish pubs, especially those that have such a rich history, like the White Horse Tavern. When entering, you are greeted so warmly by the staff, and the overall atmosphere of the bar is very inviting.Since I now work in the area, I stopped in just for a quick bite and drink, so I just ordered a Dark and Stormy, a Chicken Quesadilla, and the Onion Rings. Everything was really good and the prices here are very decent for this area. They have a good-sized food and drinks menu and plenty of seating on multiple floors. My server, who I unfortunately didn't get her name, was so nice and very attentive throughout my meal.I will definitely make it a point to come back again in the near future for food and drinks.
December 31 · Lisa SEverything was really good. The Downeast Cider was about the best I have had in the US.
