★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Food was good, but My mother and I ordered because I leaf And rice and the potato greens and rice. both meals came with mostly meat no greens which is very disappointing because that’s mainly what I want. I don’t even eat the meat for real and it’s very disappointed because we spent $60 because we also got the beef stick. Beef sticks were good but it’s just because I believe in potato greens like we haven’t even eaten it because it’s just all meat. now we wasted $60 so disappointing because I eat here often.
August 31 · 4 Shades Of AwesomeI was visiting New York from Florida and traveled two and a half hours to get here. I’ve never had Liberian food and I was excited to give them a try. I ordered the potato greens and the cassava leaf. I informed them that I would like to eat the cassava leaf at the restaurant and take the potato greens to go.The cassava leaf was exploding with flavors and was a bit spicy but nothing I couldn’t handle. It definitely reminded me of a Haitian cuisine called Lalo but one of the key differences were this was packed with a variety of meats and spicier. The staff was really nice as I interacted with them while I was there. However, I’m a bit disappointed because when I went to pay I reminded them again that I was going to be getting the potato greens to go and that I would need to pay for both of my meals. To my surprise when I got home, I noticed that the container they gave me said goat soup. While I should’ve doubled checked, I’m not sure how they messed up since their food is labeled. Don’t get me wrong, the goat soup was good but it would’ve been better enjoyed with fufu and not rice but I was also looking forward to the potato greens… maybe next time.
August 19 · RothschildHad Liberian food today and was so excited. I was headed to a different restaurant but saw this Liberian restaurant with great reviews so I went. I’m part African and I want to try all the cuisines from Africa and this was my first try for Liberia 🇱🇷. I guess maybe they did not see me as African so there wasn’t much attention to me and I asked for a couple of things from the menu but they didn’t have it. End of convo. The one lady just shook her head and turned away and walked off. lol..but don’t be turned off! -Customer service looks different in diff parts of the world and I won’t take stars off for that- I told the lady I want to try something here so what do you have and explain it to me. Can you help me with the menu so she did come around and explain almost everything to me and I ended up getting the cassava leaf because I’ve heard so much about it. Let me tell you. It’s absolutely delicious. Flavorful. Filling. Wow! There was so much mixed meat in it from cow foot, chicken, beef. (I don’t eat cow foot but the other meat was great) And she assured me there’s no pork in their restaurant. The Scotch pepper 🌶️ sauce on the side was sooo good and hot. The rice went well and they had Vimto soda. The ladies came to me to see if I liked it after and as a first timer I was hooked! I also got a slice of their rice bread that is similar to banana bread. It was so good and spiced. I would definitely eat here again.
October 04 · MiaWow! My mouth is full of goodness as I am typing this review. Food is so fresh and delicious. My Liberian sister did not disappoint.
June 21 · Maya AjayiThey don't serve Torborghee anymore on Saturdays but they do serve Cassava Leaf. All of the food here has a fresh & deliciously savory, deep umami flavor. I highly recommended eating here.
