★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I know New York is already saturated with bubble tea shops but I still excited when a new one opens. Gong Cha, a well-known tea brand from Taiwan, recently opened a new location in the UWS near where I work, and boy was I happy to try them out. This location is teeny tiny. There isn’t really any place to sit and hang out, in fact, the space can probably only fit two customers at a time. This is mainly a takeout and delivery service. I do like that the décor is simple, clean, and bright. The menu isn’t overly large and surprisingly, there aren’t many pictures of what the drinks looks like. I think I only saw one poster in the shop showcasing their top 5 drinks.I ordered a medium Taro Milk Slushie which cost a little over $8. As with most bubble tea shops, you can customize your drink with ice and sweetness levels. The drink had a nice creamy snow-like consistency, was not overly sweet and had a lovely nutty Taro flavor. The boba was on the chewier side. Overall, I found the drink really refreshing and wasn’t disappointed. If you are needing a boba tea fix and are in the area, then you must try them out.
March 03 · AmeliaI used to buy earl grey 3J in Flushing. It tasted great. Today I got it from this location. The milk tea tastes like too much water added. Nothing like tea or milk. The jelly looks nasty, not the yellow one I got from other locations. I understand it’s grand opening, but the quality is poor. I’m not sure the formula has changed or only this location.
February 27 · FrancesStopped by for some refreshing cold tea. No complaints!
August 15 · Léa Kandl-ZhangHas a good selection of various drinks and is a nice cozy place. The boba pearls are easy to eat and taste amazing. Also the drinks are very refreshing and taste great.
March 08 · Jack GillSugar was hard at the bottom, it came up through every sip, I had to spit it out everytime . There’s 1 guy that was working there. Terrible customer service. My first and last time going to that location.
