This is a great little place with the best food and atmosphere. We use it when on the Queen Mary 2 and doing a round trip. We are forced to get off the ship for immigration formalities and not allowed back on for a couple of hours so get lunch here. The garden at the back is a great place to eat and has good WiFi Internet access. - Neil Hollingum

What Is Worth Choosing

For New Yorkers, The Black Flamingo is more than just another coffee shop; it is a destination worth choosing for several compelling reasons that cater directly to the needs and preferences of a city-dweller.

Firstly, the unparalleled atmosphere offers a genuine escape. The vintage Art Deco charm and European-style cafe vibes are distinct from the industrial-chic aesthetic common in many modern Brooklyn spots. This ambiance creates a space that feels inherently relaxing and creative—a perfect setting to reset your mind. One customer noted it "transports you back to simpler times," which is a rare and valued quality in a city that constantly looks forward.

Serving premium Stone Street Coffee with a choice of roasts shows a dedication to the craft, and the elevated food offerings—from decadent quiches and high-end pastries to savory sandwiches—provide a superior quick bite or breakfast option. It is a place where you can trust that your coffee will be expertly prepared and your pastry will be a memorable treat.
