Firstly, the unparalleled atmosphere offers a genuine escape. The vintage Art Deco charm and European-style cafe vibes are distinct from the industrial-chic aesthetic common in many modern Brooklyn spots. This ambiance creates a space that feels inherently relaxing and creative—a perfect setting to reset your mind. One customer noted it "transports you back to simpler times," which is a rare and valued quality in a city that constantly looks forward.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This is a great little place with the best food and atmosphere. We use it when on the Queen Mary 2 and doing a round trip. We are forced to get off the ship for immigration formalities and not allowed back on for a couple of hours so get lunch here. The garden at the back is a great place to eat and has good WiFi Internet access.
September 08 · Neil HollingumA Cozy Brooklyn coffee shop that transports you back to simpler times. Staff, food, and coffee are great. An added bonus is the hidden garden in the back. A must visit in the area.
October 25 · Damien PriceStopped in here to have a quick bite before continuing my day in Red Hook. I had the Cheddar, Chive Scone, which was good. (Didn't really seem like a Scone or a Biscuit, more like a combo, either way the taste was good). The guys working their were nice. I liked the space. It had family portraits on the walls and some seating. I ate my Scone out in the backyard, which is not big but it is very pleasant. The prices are good. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly.
April 18 · Vivianne BarrettoWhat a delicious treat for a brunch spot in Redhook, Brooklyn. My kids and I were coming into Brooklyn searching for a brunch spot, coming out of the battery tunnel and this wonderful restaurant popped out on my Google search. Thankfully it did because it was a treasure to have been found in such an industrial area. The restaurant itself is so historic and brings the 1920s vibe with old photos, bar counter and table setting. The beautiful outdoor space is a hidden gem in itself, a must see in the spring and summer months.Their quiche- we had the spinach mushroom and spinach artichoke were phenomenal. We also had the square croissants- spinach artichoke and ratatouille and goat cheese. I am def making this my summer hang out with the kids to enjoy the hidden gem in Redhook, Bk.
