What is Worth Choosing
For a first-time visitor to The Hive, especially those from the New Jersey area looking for a true taste of this local phenomenon, the choice is clear:
The undisputed champion and the primary draw is the Classic Cinnamon Roll ($8.25). While other menu items are excellent, the cinnamon roll is the product that has generated regional buzz, media attention, and long weekend lines. It is described as a pillowy soft, large, and perfectly gooey cinnamon roll with a tangy house-made cream cheese frosting. It embodies the cozy, home-baked spirit of the cafe. Plan to arrive early on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday to secure one, as they are often limited to 200-300 rolls per day and can sell out within an hour or two of the 8:00 AM opening time. The experience of getting a fresh, hot cinny roll is a defining part of The Hive experience.
Beyond the baked goods, the coffee menu offers numerous compelling choices. For a classic coffee fix, the standard Latte or Cold Brew is a solid choice. For a more adventurous drink that aligns with the trendy and unique nature of the shop, trying a specialty drink like the Lavender Oat Latte or a seasonal option like the Bliss Lemon Honey Matcha ($7.50) is highly recommended. These drinks showcase the cafe's dedication to unique flavor profiles and high-quality ingredients.
Finally, for those who don't want to wait in the weekend line but still crave the famous treat, looking into the frozen Cinny Roll Take & Bakes is a great option. This allows customers to bring the Hive experience home and bake the rolls fresh at their leisure. Whether you are coming for the coffee, the friendly atmosphere, or the famous cinnamon rolls, The Hive provides a warm, memorable experience that truly reflects the vibrant local business culture of New Jersey.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This was my first time at the hive and it was well worth it! I was nervous I would be standing in a line for 30min + based on most of the reviews, there is usually a long line to grab a cinnamon roll. I was super lucky walked in around 10:30am on a summer Sunday morning, did not wait at all! I was able to get 2 cinnamon rolls, a classic and a summer special strawberry. They were both delicious! I also had a lavender latte, not a huge fan of it but wanted to try something on their menu. The cinnamon rolls are very hyped up but in my opinion they are good not anything I would brag about. I know next time if I wanted on I would NOT stand in a line for it. I am glad i decided to try out this spot and the atmosphere is super cut and great place to grab a coffee and sit. I def recommend trying it out if you have not.
July 20 · Gigi FanousOrdered on Too Good to go . They only had one left . I thank God I picked it ! The bag was full of cookies . All soft cookies too . And one savory scone! Def one of my fav buys ! I would come back !!!
September 27 · Erika RojasThe best Cinnamon roll I have ever had! While you need to get in line as soon as they open, and most likely you will be waiting for 30 minutes, the wait is by far worth it and they are very efficient in making sure every is served quickly. The Cinnamon rolls are only available on select days so make sure to check when. The coffee and other pastries are also spectacular so its still worth making the trip on non Cinnamon roll days as the line will be non existent.
June 12 · Jesiah OwensWhat a cute and quaint coffee shop! We got up extra early to grab one of the “famous” cinnies, as they are only served Fri-Sun.OMG! Delicious is an understatement. We were grateful it was a not a super busy morning, as our wait was less than 10 minutes (arrived at 7:58am).We also enjoyed several coffee drinks as well as the delicious cheddar scone!Don’t sleep on this place! You will not be disappointed.
July 11 · Sharla HoffmanGot in line at 7:20 for their famous cinniebuns and was one of the first to grab one when they came out of the oven at 8am!! Absolutely worth it, what an awesome spot and I always get a Cereal Milk Latte while there - the perfect way to start the day! The rainbow cookie special this month is the best but all of them look amazing, also a great go-to for coffee and other pastries ☕
