★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Updated review 6/30/24:My best friend and I decided to finish my birthday weekend by dining here and stopping by for Sunday karaoke brunch. We were greeted by a pleasant hostess at the door. Our server Norma was great from start to finish and our experience was made better with her bubbly and sweet personality.I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Chef C who is the executive chef at 333 Lounge. He assured me that this experience would be great. The music was really good. My friend and I sang along with the music and I even did a little dancing. I enjoyed the ambiance of 333 Lounge. Now let me get into the details about the food. I ordered the Cajun wings with ranch dressing on the side as my appetizer. The wings were piping hot and absolutely delicious. My friend only ate one and I finished the rest because they were really good.I ordered island chicken and waffles and my friend ordered Cajun shrimp and grits. My friend enjoyed her food. She said the grits were the creamiest grits she's ever eaten. She stated the shrimps were really good as well. My island chicken was jerk spiced fried chicken and oh my goodness, it was crispy and scrumptious. It sat on two waffles topped with pineapple salsa with Captain Morgan maple syrup. To say that we simply enjoyed our meal would be an understatement. We truly enjoyed our dining experience at 333 Lounge. Thank you to 333 Mgmt, Chef C for the amazing food and Norma for amazing service and hospitality! We both agreed that we will be back again!6/8/2024: It is Saturday at about 6:45 PM. My friend and I decided to stop by to listen to music while we dined because we were hungry at the time. Our server came over to take our order and most of the items that we wanted to order were not available. In my opinion, weekends tend to be the most busiest for businesses so how do you not have food on a Saturday? We decided to not stay because of lack of menu items. We went to Sweet Chick and had a great time with awesome food.
June 30 · Paulina ArmstrongCame for the laughs, left with a bitter taste.I came across this spot on a walk — saw the sign for an 8 PM comedy show and figured, why not? I’d been here before, and it seemed like a cool chance to support local performers. I was getting my nails done nearby and thought it’d be a fun little detour.I walked in just after 8, not crowded at all. I took a seat and asked for water while waiting for the show to start. The waitress asked if I wanted a menu, I said no, but she brought one anyway (okay, sure). Then she comes back to let me know, in so many words, that if I don’t order something, I can’t stay — not even to watch the show that your sign is advertising. Mind you, it’s 8:10, nothing has started, and I’m not taking up space from anyone.I asked if I could move to the bar instead — still no. Apparently, a single guest watching a show with a glass of water is such a threat to your business model that I had to go. I wasn’t rude, I wasn’t disruptive — I just didn’t feel like forcing down a $9 soda for the privilege of sitting quietly for a free comedy show. The whole thing was so unnecessarily cold, like hospitality had left the building and taken the punchline with it.And yeah — it stings a little more when the people turning you away look like you. You’d hope we’d offer each other a bit more grace, especially when we’re trying to support the arts, support local, support each other.I won’t be back — not because I wanted a free seat (I could’ve happily ordered if someone just spoke to me like a human), but because you made it crystal clear that I wasn’t welcome. There’s nothing funny about that.
July 28 · Ashley PadmoreThe food, atmosphere, and music were amazing. I was pleasantly surprised that the happy hour ended at 8 pm. You can enjoy indoor or outdoor seating. The staff was very welcoming, and it made the experience that much better. If you're ever in downtown Brooklyn, I highly recommend stopping by.
June 24 · Troy SwittenburgThat light-skin bartender (Indian/Guyanese/Trini with long hair or whatever she is) is a straight scammer. On Saturday night (8/23/25), she was overcharging me and my friends all night slipping in shots we never ordered, watering down drinks, then charging $25 a shot like we wouldn’t notice. $25 for tequila shots? That’s straight theft.Credit where it’s due the short-haired Guyanese bartender was smooth, and fair. The only downside was she was slammed with customers, so it was hard to get her attention consistently. That’s when we had to switch back and forth, and unfortunately, the long-haired bartender completely ruined the experience. She overcharged every one of my friends, running up tabs like we wouldn’t notice.Honestly, more oversight is needed from management. The wait times for service and simply getting staff attention were frustrating, and it felt like there just wasn’t enough staff on hand. Everything became a hassle when it really shouldn’t have been. The place has potential, but it definitely needs more structure and fairness in how things are run.I was told this spot had fair prices and good vibes what I got was the exact opposite. They saw I was new and thought I was an easy target. Funny thing is, my associates who’ve been here before told me flat out they never paid those prices. That says it all. This place is a straight hustle. They prey on people who’ve been drinking, hoping you won’t check the tab. Pure swindlers running the bar.I’ll never spend another dime in that place For what we spent, I could’ve bought 1–2 bottles and had a better time elsewhere. If you value your money and respect yourself, don’t even walk in. Crooks in plain sight — stay far awayFor proof: the $128 charge was just for 5 shots and I only asked for 4. I don’t even know where that fifth shot came from. Compare that to my first round of drinks with the short-hair bartender, which was $72 total for the same # of drinks . You can clearly see the difference in honesty between the two.Me and my friends were taking turns buying rounds, so that $128 is just my transaction. Some of their tabs came out even more ridiculous. I’ll try to post one of their receipts too so people can really see how wild this scam is.
August 26 · Sha Lovevery authentic and welcoming club/bar. great DJs, something different every weeknight, and real fun and good vibes.
