Omakase OSUKAA Midtown East Introduce
Omakase OSUKAA Midtown East stands as a hidden gem for sushi enthusiasts and curious diners alike in the bustling heart of New York City. The name "omakase" translates to "I'll leave it up to you," and this restaurant fully embraces this concept, entrusting its master chefs to curate an exquisite, multi-course dining experience. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Fish was very fresh but some of the accoutrements were a bit overpowering and took away from the essence of the fish. We ordered one extra piece each at the end but they forgot and we ended up sitting for an extra half hour when they asked if we were ready to leave and we told them we hadn’t received our orders yet. Overall food was good though and staff were kind. I would give it another shot as it is affordable omakase that is fresh in an area without many other such options.
September 18 · Anna SpitzI've already been here three times, even though it's a relatively new spot! It's a hidden gem near Grand Central Station—super convenient, delicious, and unbelievably reasonably priced. Each time I've visited, there was a different chef, and each brought their own unique style. Tonight, we were served by a Japanese chef, and the experience was distinctly different from my previous visits. While the past meals were beautifully crafted and visually stunning, tonight's omakase really highlighted the pure, aged flavors of the fish itself. My husband absolutely loved it. For me, there were about three pieces that were a bit challenging, but everything else was truly exquisite—melt-in-your-mouth quality. There are a few set options:• 10-course lunch omakase for $59• 13-course (12 sushi + dessert) for $79• 17-course full experience for $109The space is cozy and quiet, making it perfect for focusing on each course. The staff was kind and attentive, and the meal pairs really well with Japanese sake or beer. A wonderful dining experience overall.
August 02 · Sulgi ChoIt is a very nice experience to try the Omakase sushi menu. It was the first time for my son and he loved it. The flavours with each piece ... the place was very nice. The attendant with a big smile and very helpful. They have a set of 13 courses or 17 courses and sure you can add on.
July 24 · Maroun YounanThis was a fantastic first introduction to Omakase. Our chef was Oscar and he took great care to present every part of the meal with thoughtfulness and style. We were so impressed with the flavor combinations and the suggested sake pairing. The service was very attentive and made us feel welcome and at ease. The host answered our questions and explained this is a more casual omakase experience with novel flavor profiles. It’s a wonderful transition from traditional sushi to some more experimental variations. This was a great way to end our stay in New York and highlight experience during our stay. Thank you to the team for such a great evening! Highly recommend for a thoughtfully curated date night sushi.
June 06 · Alex PortenkoThis is my second time here and it’s become my new favorite omakase spot in Midtown. I really love the flavor combinations here and the value is insane. We got the 17 course omakase which included Hokkaido uni in 3 separate courses. Chef Vincent was fantastic and very friendly. Will definitely be back again!
