★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I ordered pizza online, selected no sauce then extra sauce. There was nothing on the website that insinuated this extra sauce would be on the side. After picking up my food I realized they gave me a pie with zero sauce on it. I called them, the person on the phone was hostile, saying it was my fault but they would make it right by making me a new pie. Which I appreciated, when I went to pick up the second pie, this boy of Asian descent was rude and told the cooks loudly in front of me that It was my fault and that I was “just trying to get a free pie”. After bringing the pie to my house I realized it was raw and drowning in pizza sauce. This was obviously done out spite. My question to Anthony’s is if it’s common practice to attempt to poison customers who complain?
September 30 · Catherine delion MarieHad a family dinner there last night for my son’s birthday. We were able to get that little private room in the back, which was great. Other than that and being with our family, nothing else about the night was great. The waitress was sweet, but absolutely horrendous. How bad you ask? Aside from forgetting half the apps we ordered, she didn’t clear ONE dish off the table. It was a table of 13, and I bussed the table twice myself. I literally had to clean the table and bring the plates into the kitchen- to where the chefs were helping me bring the dishes into the kitchen since she was no where to be found. I’m sorry after 40 minutes, there’s no reason why the table shouldn’t have been cleared, especially when our dinner came and it was just piled on top of the dirty dishes left over from our appetizers. We brought a cake from cold stone, I asked her to cut the cake- and she turned around and asked me with a straight face IF I BROUGHT MY OWN KNIFE TO CUT IT MYSELF! What??!? I happened to have left my cutlery at home last night, so she came in beyond annoyed and cut the cake. I worked in restaurants for years, and I have never ever left a tip less than 20%- my husband told me to leave 10 since as her busboy I would have gotten a cut anyway. I left 15% but we will never ever go back. We had been there a few weeks ago to check out the room and had similar service from a different waitress. I guess that’s what they’re going for now, but it was beyond awful.
October 17 · Katie BeeMy wife brought pizza home after she ate there with my kids . It’s the 3rd time they burn it in 3 visits. All 3 times we told the waiter the crust is burned. All 3 times they said “I am sorry about that it happens sometime with coal fired pizza”. Guess what NO it doesn’t. I lived in Italy for 6 years. I had coal fired pizza and I worked in a pizzeria with coal oven. If the pizza crust is burned you make a new one! The pizzaiolo did not even sent it to the table if it was like that in Italy. It’s carcinogenic! Change your pizzaiolo or train your waiters! No more cancer please!
June 05 · Manolis ChasapisWe haven’t come here since they opened, but went after the movies with a group of 8 last night. Regret waiting so long to return! Everything was amazing! The spinach and artichoke dip was delicious, my picky daughter LOVED the meatballs, and the pizzas were…well, let’s just say I can’t wait to go back! I got half eggplant, half caprese pie and couldn’t stop eating it. The hot honey pie was a hit, and the wings were great as well! The crust was perfect and toppings were fresh and delicious. Our server was helpful and attentive and it was a comfortable atmosphere. If you haven’t tried this place, or haven’t gone recently, definitely go and give it a try! Great place for large groups, especially because they allow you to do 1/2 and 1/2 pies, allowing you to try all the great options they have to offer. Thank you for a great experience!
July 27 · VanessaHad a disappointing experience with Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza. I’ve never been there, and now definitely never will. My friends and I wanted to order delivery, and looked at their website to know what to order. While on their website, we noticed we were able to order delivery online- great! We figured this was perfect, as we knew our order would be correct and easy. When trying to place the order for the fettuccine alfredo, the form informed us we were not able to add it- as it was not available a for delivery option. Disappointed, my friend called the store to figure out if there was a way to order it. While the man on the phone interrupted my friend trying to explain what happened, he explained that we should be able to order the lunch special for delivery. We hungup and tried the website again. Again, we were informed that it was unable to add to the order. Calling back, we now had a women who stated they do not do delivery orders over the phone. While we didn’t even want to call it in, we had no other option since the website wasn’t working. She then informed us that the only way to order delivery was from the website, and if there’s any issues on the website, they have no control over it. How does this make sense? They were willing to lose out on a customer than to either 1) see what the problem was on the website or 2) just this one time take the delivery order over the phone. We were shocked they were willing to lose out on business like tha.. Make sure you’re careful on the website and know that if you have an issue with it, they don’t have control over it!
