★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Solid food in a welcoming space open to the street and yet slightly isolated from it. The menu focuses on reproducing Spanish food, and does it well, but frankly nothing blew my mind. I had high expectations for the grilled iberico, but it was quite plain and salty, I didn't get any of the complex flavors that this type of pork is known for. The cheesecake with blue cheese was great for a bite, but despite being made really well, the blue cheese was just too intense and could have benefited from a cup of coffee or glass of wine to cut it.
August 10 · Javier KohenThe ajo blanco is one of the best dishes I’ve eaten in New York City. It’s a perfect balance of texture, cream, salt, and sweet. The anchovies with butter, the chicharron with almonds, and the braised oxtail with potatoes were spectacular. I prefer the tortilla at Ernesto’s, but Bartolo’s thin and runny version was very well done. The torcino dessert with plums, almond cookies, and a rich crumble was pure heaven. Our server was great. And the decor is stunning. Every detail—the paneled walls, the rose colored seating, and the matador prints—make you feel like you’re living a Hemingway novel.Go here. It’s really good.
September 12 · Martin LNew spot - Bin was great & Daryl was the standout ! Chef indifferent unless your A list which is disappointing. Invest time in your clients! (We were there at close and he approached only 2 of the 6 tables) food was just basic good not exceptional - 8/10 for whole experience -the only reason for the high rating is Daryl & Bin MERCI
September 15 · Ian SchwanerI don’t leave reviews but this place blew me away. The filet mignon was unreal, the Gilda is a must & the anchovies on butter?! Literal perfection. I’ll be dreaming about the tomatoes and chicharrones. The staff was so friendly & explained everything so well.. it’s one of those few places you can feel the love & care in every bite. Felt like I was on a little European vacation. The decor, the energy, the vibe so inviting, alluring & genuine. This place is 100% worth the trip. Can’t wait to go back & try more!
