★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have searched high and low for the perfect marinated beef galbi(meongsuk galbi on the menu) in NY metro area including Flushing NJ NYC. Galbi here is the chef’s kiss, melt-in-the-mouth tender morsels of high quality meat, perfectly seasoned, sweet and savory. Admittedly a splurge type meal, but prices are par for course in NY metro area and actually slightly cheaper than some other restaurants. Additionally there is so much more included in the meal than anywhere else. In Manhattan, now the jjigae (stew)and egg soufflé and even rice is charged separately which was not how it used to be. Here not only are the stew/egg/rice included in bbq of 2 orders or more(not for single order), the banchan, or side dishes, were diverse, plentiful, delicious (soy sauce marinated hard boiled eggs and beef etc). Of note I think if you go with larger group and order 3 or more orders of galbi theres more ‘써비스‘ or extras i.e they brought us a small plate of crisp scallion pancakes, marinated raw crabs, even jelly fish salad. Banchans differ depending on the day. I went with four ppl and three orders of galbi was more than enough food for us, did not order anything else. Thank you so much for the delicious meal!
September 25 · M LWe arrived by a long car ride in traffic to try this restaurant’s nengmyun (cold noodles) for lunch and it did not disappoint. I had mool nengmyun (cold water noodles) and I thought it was the best I’ve ever tasted. It was refreshing and the noodles had the right amount of chew. We also had bibim nengmyun lunch special with kalbi (good quality and tender), samgyupsal (pork belly) lunch special with soon tofu and seafood scallion pancake. The huge pancake was the most flavorful and crispiest I’ve ever tasted and cheap. We came in daring the restaurant to be worthy of our trek and it was definitely an enjoyable lunch.
September 19 · Susan SongAbsolutely incredible Korean cuisine paired with exceptional service. You can immediately tell they use top-quality meats and ingredients in every dish. We ordered a wide variety of items and loved every single one. The highlight was definitely the BBQ meats—perfectly marinated, incredibly tender, and full of flavor. No shortcuts here—just authentic, high-quality food that speaks for itself. A must-try spot for anyone who loves Korean BBQ!
April 20 · Taesung KimHands down the best KBBQ spot in Queens. The amount of items you get with your order is overwhelming (in a good way!). Service is top notch, they cook the meat in front of you, and the food overall is AMAZING.
June 13 · JABiwon KBBQ offers an excellent dining experience. The meats are exceptionally fresh. The staff is attentive and friendly. The side dish selection is generous and varied. The purple rice is especially delicious!!!
