Casiano's Italian Specialties Introduce
For New Jersey residents and travelers passing through Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), finding a convenient and satisfying meal is often a top priority before a flight. **Casiano's Italian Specialties** positions itself as a practical solution, offering quick-service Italian-American favorites right in the bustling atmosphere of the airport's Terminal C. Catering specifically to the fast-paced environment of air travel, this restaurant provides a spot for both locals and tourists to grab a taste of Italian comfort food.
Casiano's is identified broadly as an **Italian restaurant**, but it also falls under the more specific categories of **Northern Italian restaurant** and **Southern Italian restaurant**, suggesting a menu that attempts to draw inspiration from the diverse regional cuisines of Italy. While the specific menu items available can vary, the core offering is focused on easy-to-eat items for travelers, such as sandwiches featuring rotisserie-style meats like slow-roasted porchetta, roast beef, and rotisserie chicken. The overall focus is on delivering a familiar, comforting flavor profile in a short timeframe, which is essential for customers adhering to strict flight schedules.
The establishment operates with a simple, **Casual** atmosphere, designed for efficiency over leisurely dining. It is a common stop for **Lunch** and is particularly **Popular for Solo dining**, reflecting its location within a high-traffic travel hub where many customers are dining alone or need a swift transaction. Casiano’s understands the demands of the airport crowd, prioritizing a streamlined experience, a commitment reflected in its reported highlight of **Fast service**.
It is important to manage expectations, however, as the dining experience in an airport setting often differs from a traditional standalone restaurant. Customer feedback, as is common in airport dining, can be mixed. Some reviews specifically mention high prices relative to the perceived quality and long wait times despite the focus on quick service, noting concerns over factors like dry bread or inconsistent sandwich preparation. For the New Jersey traveler, Casiano's serves a function as a readily available, post-security Italian option when time is limited.
Casiano's Italian Specialties is located within the busy transportation nexus of Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). Its precise address is **29 International Airport St C Terminal, Newark, NJ 07114, USA**. This places it directly inside Terminal C, post-security, specifically noted to be situated near gates C70 to C99 and also C120-139, as part of the broader dining options managed by OTG within that terminal.
Being an airport establishment, the primary customer base consists of air passengers and airport staff. The restaurant is located in a high-traffic area designed to accommodate the flow of travelers. A crucial feature, particularly in a public transport environment, is its **Wheelchair accessible entrance**, ensuring that it can serve all individuals passing through the terminal.
Access to the location is strictly dependent on having a ticket for flights departing from or arriving at Terminal C, or having access to the secure side of the terminal. While traditional parking is less relevant for a terminal restaurant, the overall airport infrastructure supports both short- and long-term parking, making the terminal itself highly accessible via car, rail (AirTrain), and bus services that connect New Jersey and the greater New York Metropolitan Area.
Casiano's Italian Specialties provides limited but essential services geared towards the traveler:
- **Dine-in:** Customers have the option to eat within the restaurant's designated area, often as part of a food court setup within Terminal C.
- **Takeout:** The most common and popular service model, allowing travelers to quickly purchase items and consume them at their gate or on their flight.
- **Dining Time:** The primary meal service offered is **Lunch**, though given the nature of airport operations, it is likely available throughout operational hours which generally extend from early morning until the last flight departure in Terminal C.
- **Payment Options:** The restaurant facilitates easy transactions by accepting both **Credit cards** and **Debit cards**, which is standard and convenient for travelers.
- **Atmosphere:** It offers a **Casual** setting that is also identified as **Good for kids**, making it a viable stop for families traveling through EWR.
- **Target Audience:** The restaurant is designed to serve a broad crowd, including **Family-friendly** groups and a high volume of **Tourists**.
Despite the constraints of airport dining, Casiano's offers a few key features that appeal directly to the needs of the traveling public:
- **Fast Service:** A crucial highlight that attracts rushed travelers who need to minimize their meal time before a flight.
- **Convenient Offerings:** The menu is specifically designed for convenience, featuring **Comfort food** and items categorized as a **Quick bite**, such as sandwiches with slow-roasted meats like porchetta and roast beef.
- **Beverage Selection:** The availability of **Alcohol** and **Wine**, alongside **Coffee**, allows customers to either relax with a quick drink or grab a caffeine boost before their flight.
- **Simplicity and Focus:** The restaurant concentrates its efforts on a select category of food—Italian-American specialties—allowing for faster preparation and simpler ordering, which is ideal in a high-volume, quick-turnaround environment.
- **Solo Traveler Friendly:** It is widely recognized as a suitable location for **Solo dining**, with an atmosphere that is accommodating for individuals seeking a quick, no-fuss meal.
- **Accessibility:** The provision of a **Wheelchair accessible entrance** ensures that the location is welcoming and usable by all travelers.

Casiano's Italian Specialties is ultimately worth choosing for the New Jersey traveler when the primary factors are **speed and location within Newark Airport Terminal C**. In an environment where time is precious, the establishment's focus on **Fast service** and its convenient location post-security make it a reliable choice for a pre-flight or layover meal. For those specifically craving the familiarity of a rotisserie meat sandwich or Italian-American comfort food, Casiano's offers an easy solution without needing to leave the secure terminal area. The availability of a quick glass of **Wine** or **Coffee** further caters to the typical needs of a traveler looking to relax or re-energize.
However, users should approach their visit with the understanding that this is airport dining. While the restaurant aspires to represent both Northern and Southern Italian traditions, the format is a quick-service model, which, according to customer feedback, can sometimes lead to inconsistent quality or perceived high pricing—a common reality in all airport food courts. It is best chosen by **Solo dining** travelers or small groups needing a rapid, familiar, comfort food option for **Lunch**, who are willing to trade premium quality for maximum convenience and minimal travel time to their gate.
In summary, Casiano’s fulfills a vital niche in the Newark Airport dining scene: it’s an accessible, quick, and centrally located Italian option for the passenger who must prioritize flight schedules above all else, making it a necessary and functional stop for countless New Jersey travelers.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I ordered the Italian sandwich and didn’t enjoy it at all. The meat was chewy, the bread was dry, and the eggplant/brinjal inside was disgusting. I had to remove it from the second half of the sandwich just to make it somewhat edible
August 26 · Amartya GhosalAbsolutely pathetic. I ordered “The American” with extra ham. The menu lists ham or turkey, provolone, lettuce, tomato, mayo. After waiting over half an hour, I got my sandwich. Sat down on the plane and opened up stale bread, with two measly pieces of ham and no cheese. $23.99, never again.
July 30 · Joseph BendanaTotal rip-off. Paid $20 for a sandwich that barely had any turkey, and they didn’t even serve the wheat bread I ordered—even though that’s what they advertise. Honestly, one of the worst places to grab food in Newark. Save your money and go somewhere else.
May 06 · Gabriela CespedesThis entire food court is a racket. WAYYY over priced and under-quality food. This sandwich was $20 by itself. No paper receipts even by request. They MUST capture your cell number to text you one. Slow, attitudes, the works. I'll go hungry next time. Not even kidding!
March 15 · Kenneth BI have to agree with the majority, this deserves the terrible terrible ratings. I got an Italian sub and the eggplant was gray and soggy, the meat was tough and hard to bite through. There was so much oil on it it was dripping everywhere. I ate half of it and regret it. All that for $20, and poor service.
