From classic Chinese appetizers and hearty entrees to a dedicated sushi bar for Japanese selections, the menu is extensive. The fusion of these types—Kosher restaurant, Chinese restaurant, Sushi restaurant, and even a touch of Western influence—is precisely what makes it a noteworthy destination in the bustling New York food scene.

What is Worth Choosing
When New Yorkers are navigating the endless culinary choices, Cho-Sen Garden distinguishes itself as an essential stop. The primary draw is its reliable and high-quality Kosher certification, a crucial element for many local residents. The Glatt Kosher status, particularly for an Asian and sushi restaurant, offers a valuable and sometimes rare combination in the Queens dining landscape.
Beyond the Kosher aspect, the sheer variety and value make it a compelling choice. Customers often point out the generously sized portions and the existence of a reasonably priced prefixed meal option—which typically includes soup, an egg roll, an entrée, and dessert—as a great way to enjoy a substantial, diverse meal without breaking the bank. For first-time visitors or loyal patrons, this prefixed meal represents an excellent way to sample the quality and quantity of the food.
For fans of classic Asian-American comfort food, popular dishes like the Chinese-style entrees, including the much-loved Chicken with Mixed Vegetables, are consistently noted for their flavor and satisfying nature. Meanwhile, the inclusion of a full sushi bar, with selections ranging from simple rolls to more elaborate Chef's Specialties, broadens the appeal significantly, proving that Cho-Sen Garden is not just a Chinese spot, but a full-fledged Asian culinary hub.
The setting itself is casual and cozy, making it an unpretentious and comfortable spot for a wide range of occasions—from a quick weeknight takeout run to a full-service dinner with friends or family. For those with children, the availability of a kids’ menu and high chairs ensures a stress-free experience. The overall combination of trusted Kosher quality, culinary variety across Chinese and sushi menus, strong value through large portions, and great services like private dining and full catering, solidifies Cho-Sen Garden as a highly recommended and rewarding dining choice in the New York metropolitan area. Whether you are craving General Tzo's Chicken or a fresh Tuna Roll, this Forest Hills fixture is ready to serve.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Love having this kosher Asian food option in Queens. Food is tasty and portions are very large. They have a good prefixed meal option for around $30 bucks (includes soup, egg roll, entree and dessert). Service was slow but understandable since they were very busy. I loved the chicken with mixed vegetables most!
March 25 · Yael WWhat a shame! This used to be the absolute BEST Chinese restaurant in all of the Queens. Bold statement, I know, but FACTS. Now, it's absolutely horrible. It was one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had....EVER. The menu was filthy, the service was so slow, the food was absolutely horrible. The waiter actually steered us away from a dish with Broccoli because it's frozen not fresh. My beef dish was so overcooked, which concerned me because it came out so fast. We used to frequent this place because everything was so fresh, it was Kosher, and cooked perfectly. Now I don't think anything is fresh and there's no possibility that it's Kosher. Stay away.
April 06 · phillip salliWe had a very pleasant experience here. The staff were all friendly and courteous. They were very kind and patient with my children. The portions are large. The food was fresh, tasty, and looked great. They gave my kids as much noodles as they wanted, so they could dip into the sweet and sour dip. Throughout dinner, the staff checked in with us if they could be of service. I am very satisfied with the service and meals.
January 29 · meir bambergerPortions are nicely sized and the food tastes pretty decent. The soup tasted rather old though. The waiter was demanding a larger tip which was rather rude, but apparently this only happens at this location. I would recommend this restaurant, but I would say you can have a better experience at the other location.
September 30 · Shalom GNot as expectedSmells bad, i believe it is not fresh. They use old cooked chicken in their fried chicken rice. For the money I paid there, (so expensive) i could go some Italian seafood restaurant!!!
