What is worth choosing
Choosing Trapizzino means opting for a unique and memorable culinary journey that stands out from the typical Italian dining experience in New York. The main draw is, without a doubt, the trapizzino itself. This innovative creation, a staple of Roman street food, is a must-try. The menu offers a variety of fillings, each a testament to classic Italian comfort food. Patrons rave about the Polpetta Al Sugo (meatball) and the Pollo Alla Cacciatora (chicken), which are perfect examples of the hearty, flavorful stews that fill the pizza dough pockets. For a truly authentic taste of Rome, the Coda Alla Vaccinara (oxtail) is a bold and delicious choice. Vegetarian options like the Parmigiana Di Melanzane (eggplant) are equally compelling. Beyond the signature dish, the menu showcases a range of traditional Italian fare. The Rigatoni Ragu and Cacio E Pepe Pasta are simple yet perfectly executed, delivering the kind of comfort only a well-made pasta dish can provide. For starters, the Broccolini and Carciofi Alla Giudia (fried artichokes) are highly recommended. These small plates are perfect for sharing and provide a glimpse into the diverse flavors of Roman cuisine. The atmosphere at Trapizzino is another reason it's a worthwhile choice. It's casual and cozy, making it the perfect place to unwind with a glass of wine or a cocktail. The staff is known for being welcoming and friendly, as noted in customer reviews, which adds to the overall pleasant dining experience. The restaurant is not just a place to eat; it's a place to socialize, relax, and feel a part of a community. While there may be a slight learning curve with the "dinner combo," as mentioned in a customer review, the staff's dedication to making things right and the sheer quality of the food and service make it a place worth revisiting. Whether you're a food enthusiast seeking a new and exciting culinary experience or simply looking for a great Italian meal in a relaxed setting, Trapizzino offers a complete package of quality food, a great atmosphere, and exceptional service.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Very good food, cute atmosphere.I am taking off a point to make aware of a dinner combo that makes no sense. $30 for Trappizini and 1/2 Pasta. The combo does not make it clear that it is a 1/2 Pasta. Ordering a Trappizini and full pasta would also be about $30 or less in some cases and you would get more food. Very bizarre decision by management. Our server was very lovely and comped our bill partially to make up for the confusion. So if you come here, don't order the combo, just order the items separately.I got the Pesto pasta and Oxtail Trappizini along with broccolini to start (very good).
April 27 · Mara SchwartzI used to love Trapizzino when I lived in Italy, and I was so excited to stumble upon it here in New York! One bite instantly brought me back to Rome, the trapizzino was absolutely delicious. The service was just as great: Gabriele was so kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. My friend and I had such a wonderful time, and we’ll definitely be back!
August 23 · Michela TarantinoEnded up here while waiting for a table at Russ & Daughters nearby. We stopped in for some coffee and small bites while we waited. Oh man, I wish we were hungry enough to go back afterwards. This place was one of the best food experiences we had while in NYC. Coffee was outstanding, desserts were fantastic (particularly the olive oil cake), fingerling potatoes were perfect, and the Cacciatora Trapazzini was out of this world (my picture doesn't do it justice; it's a small handheld sandwich). If I ever returned to NYC I would go here in a heartbeat and wished I had more time to go back on my trip.
March 20 · Adam RobertsGreat option for a quick spritz stop or just to cozy up with some dishes to whet the palatte and enjoy the atmosphere. Gives italian cafe vibes especially as night falls.
April 15 · Jovanni RomeroWe celebrated our birthday here with a group of 16, and it was perfect from start to finish! 🎉 Giuseppe was amazing — he helped us schedule a table last minute and was so kind and accommodating the entire time. Truly above and beyond service. The food was phenomenal — we did the Roman Feast and everything was incredible. The risotto balls and the ragu pasta were especially delicious, and there was more than enough food for everyone. Honestly, we couldn’t even move afterwards because we were so full (in the best way)! The staff was super kind, the atmosphere was great, and it was the perfect spot before heading out to the clubs. If you’re looking for a place to host a big group for a birthday or celebration, this is absolutely the spot. 💯 We’ll definitely be back!
