★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My family and I were visiting NY and had a list of places that we wanted to try. Cuts & Slices came highly recommend so we gave it a try. First of all, its such a cute neighborhood pizza spot. Second, the customer service was amazing. The young lady behind the counter was so friendly and helpful, especially because we had never been there and didn't know what to get. We ended up trying a little bit of everything! We loved these unique pizza flavors and would absolutely come back whenever we are in NY! That chopped cheese and sweet chili oxtail pizza.... my goodness!!!! 🙌🏾🔥🍕
July 22 · Alonya GreenI've been meaning to come here for some time and it was worth the visit!I've come to the place fully aware that the pizza here is gonna cost more that what you would get from the regular Pizzeria. I decided to visit the Bushwick location first because it's nearby one of the Blink Fitness gyms I go to. I wouldn't say it's a hole in the wall joint but since it's located around a residential area instead of a business strip, it has the appeal of standing out while not being present.Coming into the place, it's a bit on the condensed side but you can eat in as long as there isn't more than maybe 8 people there which was fortunate for me because I had the area to myself for the majority of the time I sat in to eat. Their Oxtail slices are their signature slice (since where else can you get a slice like that) so I had the Oxtail Stew slice and the BBQ Chicken Slice right above it. Completely forgot they also had the Chicken and Waffle slice but I'll get to that another time. The Oxtail Slice was superb! You can taste the meat and sauce of the Oxtail along with a few bits of Collard Greens, it's a piece of soul food in one slice, it was definitely as advertised. The BBQ Chicken Slice was no slouch either, well cooked chicken, the sauce must've been pretty smoky because there was also a spicy kick to it but it wasn't overwhelming. They do have beverages but they're standard fare. Wish they had root beer or creme soda but that doesn't take away from the overall score. I recommend this place and they have 2 other locations in the Lower East Side of Manhattan and St. Albans in Queens. Go for it! You won't regret it.
September 15 · Sledge Williams⭐ Honest Review: Overhyped & Overpriced – Needs Serious ImprovementMy husband and I drove in from PA to finally try this spot. As original New Yorkers and supporters of Black-owned small businesses, we came in excited… but left highly disappointed. We’re not worried about price – we understand inflation and don’t expect “stone age” prices. But if you’re charging premium rates, the food should absolutely be worth it. Sadly, it wasn’t.What We Ordered:• Sweet Chili Shrimp Slice – $10.50• Buffalo Chicken Slice – $7.50• Sweet Chili Oxtail Slice – $12.48Food Breakdown:• Sweet Chili Shrimp Slice: The shrimp itself had good flavor, but the slice was so soggy it was practically mush. I couldn’t even finish it — more than half went in the trash.• Buffalo Chicken Slice: My husband said this was the best of the two, but still nothing memorable.• Sweet Chili Oxtail Slice: The oxtail meat was flavorful, but the sauce was overpowering, making the dough just as soggy as the shrimp slice. Sometimes less is more, and this was one of those times.Service Experience:While ordering, I told the young lady at the counter that my husband is allergic to seafood and asked her to keep the slices separate. She got distracted mid-order, chatting with her coworker, and still placed them together — even after we both reminded her. When my husband mentioned it again, her response was, “You should have told me.” 😑Final Verdict:Not worth the hype. Not worth the drive. And definitely overpriced for the quality and service we experienced. We genuinely wanted to love this place, but both the food execution and customer service need serious improvement.
August 10 · Beatrice RamirezThe curry chicken slice at Cuts & Slices is a masterpiece. The seasoning is spot on, bringing just the right amount of heat without overpowering the flavor. Every bite has that rich, comforting curry kick, and the crust is perfection — crisp, sturdy, and able to stand up to all that flavor without getting soggy. On an unplanned Saturday night, the stars aligned because there wasn’t a crazy line — and it made the whole experience even better. Easily one of the best slices in Brooklyn.
August 17 · Warren SatchellI've been trying to visit this spot for some time now, but there were always hours wait lines whenever I would be in the area. One lucky Sunday I got my first chance.I was immediately greeted upon walking in ( appreciated, especially since the counter server was ringing up 2 people while answering questions of a third) and I immediately ordered what all my friends told me to get- curry oxtail slice. I also ordered a chopped cheese slice out of curiosity- I love a chopped cheese! The oxtail slice has absolutely nothing about it beyond the fact it's served on a triangle shaped slice of bread. That being said, this is the most delicious and unique slice of pizza I've ever had. The oxtail is soft, tender, bountiful, amazingly flavorful- this oxtail tail is better than a lot of the braised oxtail I've had at different Caribbean restaurants throughout Brooklyn. I honestly wish I had a slice in hand right now.The chopped cheese slice was equally amazing- generous amounts of meat and cheese, seasoned well, and a little bit of heat. It's as good as some of the chopped cheeses I've had around the city (can't compare to the Bronx, haven't had any there yet)I know they've been successful enough that they've started opening other locations. Gonna try the East Village Cuts & Slices next!
March 15 · Michael LOverpriced pizza.Uber Eats had a promo where I could buy four slices for $45 and I’d receive a $15 discount.I did that for pickup. Overall, service was good and they were nice. Some slices had to be substituted but upon arrival to the shop, I was able to get what I originally paid for.Curry chicken slice 3.5/5. The better of the flavors I had. This was pretty good but nothing I’d get again.French toast and chicken slice 1.5/5. It was nasty. This was not French toast and the chicken…was not fried. I did not like the taste of this. I initially wanted chicken and waffles, it was not available.Oxtail slice 2/5. This was terrible. Hard “shredded oxtail” pieces, barely any flavor. The dough was tough. I would never recommend this.Jerk shrimp slice 3/5. It was just okay. Nothing to be crazy over. Jerk flavor was barely noticeable and again, tough dough. The slices are also very small. The dough is not good. It was not an enjoyable experience at this small shop. I am utterly disappointed at what they offer here. I came here on Saturday, 9/20/25.Can sodas are $1.50 and they do offer some sort of alcoholic mimosa-like drink. Inquire about the prices if you decide to stop by.Overall, 2/5 rating. I do not believe I would ever come back here. Mediocre pizza!
