What is worth choosing
When visiting Gee's Caribbean Restaurant, New Yorkers are presented with a wide array of enticing options, but a few dishes and menu categories truly represent the restaurant's best. The foundation of the menu lies in the deep and satisfying flavors of its Trinidadian heritage.
The Roti selections are an absolute must-try. Roti, a type of flatbread, is offered with various delectable fillings, from Boneless Curry Chicken Roti to the hearty Curry Goat Roti, and even the fully loaded Stew Oxtail Roti. These options provide a complete, flavorful meal wrapped to perfection. Complementing the roti, the Dinners section is rich with Caribbean comfort food classics. The Jerk Chicken Dinner and the Stew Chicken Dinner are consistently popular choices, lauded for their deep, authentic flavors. Additionally, the Stew Oxtail Dinner, with its tender, slow-cooked meat, is often highlighted by patrons as a top choice for its rich taste, even though portion sizes have sometimes been noted as inconsistent in reviews.
Another item that deserves special mention is the Doubles. This quintessential Trinidadian street food, consisting of two baras (flatbreads) filled with curried channa (chickpeas), is a perfect savory snack or appetizer. Gee's offers a variety of Doubles, including options with meat or seafood, expanding on the classic. Furthermore, don't overlook the soups, particularly the Corn Soup and Cow Heel Soup, though recent customer feedback suggests there can be occasional variability in the composition and presence of "ground provisions" (non-potato root vegetables), sometimes featuring an abundance of potatoes instead. However, the corn soup has received individual high praise from some customers for its overall amazing flavor.
To complete the authentic Caribbean experience, be sure to explore the Specialty Beverages, such as the Sorrel and Peanut Punch, which offer refreshing, traditional pairings for the rich food. And, for an adult beverage, the Caribbean Cocktails, available during normal hours and at a discounted rate during Happy Hour, are a unique feature not found at all Caribbean spots in the area.
Gee's Caribbean Restaurant provides a taste of the islands that is deeply appreciated in a city like New York. Whether you are a long-time resident of Crown Heights or just visiting Brooklyn, choosing a dinner or roti from their robust menu will provide an unforgettable, flavor-packed experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1EDIT: I gave much praise for your soup but what changed? Purchased a cowheel and corn soup and both were filled with potatoes! Why is the soups laden with white potatoes? No veggies? No dumplings? No other ground provisions?JUST POTATOES!!!C’mon peeps, get it together. Plus the soup was burnt. Very disappointed!Thank you for this amazing corn soup! This corn soup deserves it's own review! But honorable mention to the BOGO on Stewed Chicken and Jerk Chicken dinner via UberEats!
August 07 · JAY BLESSEDOrdered food via Uber Eats today. When my order arrived, it was missing the 3 patties I ordered which was a bummer because I ordered that for my child to eat. The oxtail meal only came with 3 pieces, it could have at least been 5 pieces there was room in the plate. Curry goat was decent but a little on the dry side, could have used more gravy. I hate to give this review but the least the restaurant could have done was contact me to tell me there were no patties, or replace the patties with extra sides.
September 02 · Charisma ColonThe service despite the crowd was friendly. The staff does not move as one unit. So the wait is long. The Shrimp doubles was the best part of what I ordered. The stewed chicken was not fresh or flavorful. The bake and shark was ok. The shake was not debone had good flavor. A huge slice of pineapple was on the sandwich. I didn't like it with that. Gave the rest to my friend.
September 02 · M JThis place is great for roti and more!! I got a sorrel drink (which I’ve never had before) and it really complements the spice of the curry. I highly recommend Gee’s for doubles as well, especially if you don’t want to wait in line for Trinidad (there only $1 more here, accept card, and are comparable quality to Trinidad). Overall happy to have Gees in my neighborhood!
June 04 · Andrea HanleyUnbelievably yummy! Totally crave-able!!! Soooo flavorful and fresh. The oxtail with peas/rice, potato salad, and spinach was insanely delicious. The sweet plantains were so good too.
