Nulboneh is worth choosing primarily for New Jersey diners who place a premium on authentic, high-quality Korean food and crave the flavors of homemade cooking. If your priority is finding a reliable source for delicious, traditionally prepared Korean meals, particularly well-executed lunch boxes or full-service catering for a large event, Nulboneh provides a compelling offering.
However, potential visitors must balance this high-quality food with consistent customer feedback concerning the service experience. Multiple customer reviews indicate that the service staff, particularly at the counter, can be perceived as unfriendly, rude, or lacking in basic greetings and gratitude. This "take it or leave it" attitude, as described by a customer, is a significant point of concern that management should address.
Ultimately, a visit to Nulboneh is a decision to prioritize the culinary experience—the Comfort food, the Healthy options, and the convenience of On-site parking—over the hospitality experience. For the many Locals who endure the reported discourtesy, the reason is simple: the food is good enough to make the service a secondary consideration. If you are a local user seeking delicious Korean cuisine for Lunch or Dinner in Palisades Park and can overlook a potentially brusque interaction, the authentic, home-style Korean fare at Nulboneh awaits.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This place is undeniably popular and well-frequented, and while the food quality is generally good, customer service can often come across as rather discourteous. On one occasion, I was informed that my reserved item had already been sold, and the response seemed to imply that I should simply understand and accept the situation.More notably, some of the staff give off a strong impression that the business does well regardless of whether a customer comes or not. Although the lunch menu is well-curated and the pricing is reasonable, the attitude and approach toward customer service leave room for improvement. While the popularity of the establishment may continue, I hope the management acknowledges that such issues are being noticed. Good food alone does not justify a "take it or leave it" attitude. it's very rude.
April 29 · Jae ParkEvery time I visit during lunchtime, the person at the counter neither greets me nor says thank you. I only go because I like the lunch boxes, but unfriendliness in customer service is the worst thing for a business. She needs proper training!
May 16 · sean kimThe old lady owner consistently displays rudeness, often responding to my questions about food with a sour attitude. Sometimes, she doesn't bother to answer and instead resorts to non-verbal gestures like nods or chin-pointing. Despite being a loyal customer, she openly expressed displeasure at the inconvenience of placing orders during busy days. After many tries, it all tastes pretty similar. There are plenty of other spots around there selling "Banchan" with tastier options and friendlier service. I'm definitely not going back there any more after those awful experiences with her.
June 03 · J Mall of these reviewers are psyops the lady is perfectly friendly
June 19 · VictoriaThe owner and their families are POS.I am the purchasing customer, I am paying for the services. After buying somewhat over 100 worth of banchan. The owners husband was blocking the entrance of the parking lot with his vehicle. I honked and asked him to remove his vehicle so I can back out. He yelled at me to go forward onto Grand Avenue. If I did so, and did get into a car accident, would he be held responsible? (I don't think so) So I informed him I won't be doing any illegal driving and asked him to remove his vehicle and he cursed and yelled at me. I guess I'm never going back here again.SO RUDE AND MEAN. geez have some common courtesy and manners. The food is so tiny and for the prices they charge. PEOPLE SAVE YOURSELVES THE MISERY.
