Jeong’s Noodle (Danny’s kitchen) Introduce
Welcome to the heart of authentic and comforting Korean-Chinese cuisine right here in New Jersey. Tucked away within the vibrant food hall of the H Mart in Little Ferry, you'll find a true culinary gem: Jeong’s Noodle, also known affectionately by some as Danny’s kitchen. This unassuming food stall is not just a convenient stop; it has earned a reputation among local New Jersey diners for serving some of the most satisfying bowls of Korean black bean noodles (Jajangmyeon) and spicy seafood soup (Jjamppong) in the region.
For many New Jersey residents, a craving for high-quality, authentic Chinese-Korean comfort food is a serious matter. When that specific urge for a slurpy, perfectly sauced bowl of Jajangmyeon hits, or when only the deep, spicy broth of a Jjamppong will do, locals consistently point to this Little Ferry spot. Jeong’s Noodle offers the perfect combination of speed, casual atmosphere, reasonable pricing, and, most importantly, consistently delicious food that keeps customers coming back. It’s the ideal destination for a solo lunch, a family dinner, or a quick, flavorful bite while you're out running errands.
The experience at a supermarket food court may surprise newcomers. These vibrant Asian market eateries are a world away from the typical mall setup, offering a diverse array of truly amazing food options. Jeong’s Noodle benefits from this dynamic environment, offering a focused menu that specializes in the staples of Korean-Chinese cooking—dishes that beautifully blend the bold flavors of Chinese cuisine with the unique taste profile and heartiness of Korean comfort food. This dedication to foundational, well-executed dishes is what elevates Jeong’s Noodle above the rest.
The core of their menu revolves around two beloved noodle classics: Jajangmyeon and Jjamppong. Jajangmyeon is a traditional and deeply satisfying dish featuring thick wheat noodles smothered in a savory, slightly sweet black bean sauce with diced pork and vegetables. Jjamppong, in contrast, is an exhilaratingly spicy seafood noodle soup, brimming with fresh ingredients like shrimp, squid, mussels, and an assortment of vegetables in a rich, red broth. The consistent quality and robust flavors of these dishes have earned Jeong's Noodle high praise, with some patrons confidently claiming it’s the best Jjamppong they’ve had in all of New Jersey, period.
The quick and casual dining setting makes ordering straightforward and fast. You simply approach the counter, place your order, and receive a number. Whether you choose to sit nearby, watching the small screen for your number to appear, or find a comfortable spot further afield, the automated loudspeaker system ensures you’re notified clearly when your freshly prepared dish is ready for pickup. This streamlined process is part of what makes it so popular for busy weekday lunches or quick, casual dinners.
Even beyond the stellar noodles, the menu offers various other popular Korean-Chinese plates, ensuring there is something to satisfy everyone in your dining party. For those who prefer rice, the Jajang sauce is also available as a topping for rice dishes, such as the Jajang Rice. Similarly, the popular Jjampong is available in a rice soup version, known as Jjamppong Rice. The generous serving sizes, often accompanied by the traditional, tiny cup of pickled yellow radish (danmuji), ensure you leave fully satisfied.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Inside the Hackensack Hmart is a food court. And inside that food court is this humble little food stall, where I go whenever the craving for a bowl of Korean black bean noodles hits. Jjajangmyun is a popular Korean-Chinese dish made from black bean paste, meat, and diced vegetables. When I'm suddenly fixin' for that slurpy bowl of saucy noodles, this is where I come. Why? Because it's close to my commute, it's quick and casual, reasonably priced, and consistently good. As an added bonus, there are lots of other offerings in the food court in case my eating mate didn't want to eat the same thing.Ordering is simple. Go to the counter, place your order, and they'll give you a receipt with a number. If you find seats nearby, there's a little screen at the stall that tells you when your order is ready for pickup. If you end up sitting far away, don't fret. There's an automated loudspeaker that clearly calls out stalls and ready order numbers. My go-to order here is (of course) the jjajangyun. The menu offers a small variety - regular (with meat and veggies), uni, and spicy. Spice lovers, you're going to love the spicy jjajangmyun (#4 on the menu). The jjajang sauce is also delicious on rice, and I've loved the shrimp fried rice with it.Serving sizes are decent, and it comes with the tiniest cup of yellow pickled radishes (a standard condiment for this dish).
March 25 · Jane CThe name of this food court restaurant is jjampong (Korean spicy seafood noodles). Then you should order jjampong from this place. That’s exactly what I did and pleasantly found out the best jjampong eatery in NJ is located inside a food court. Hmart food court in Little Ferry to be precise.I don’t know about other entrees served at this place, but jjampong is beyond solid.
February 12 · Richard YuMy last visit was ok so I had no expectation this time. But it was surprisingly good! The spicy black bean noodle, spicy seafood noodle soup, & fried pork, everything was great. Only wish was if they served raw onions along with the pickled radish like other Korean Chinese restaurants.
March 20 · Jung OhWith the new H-Mart, there is a new food court and this Korean-Chinese food stall opened up. The food is amazing and cheap for the quality. The Jjamppong is amazing and the portions are huge. I already ordered twice and took it as a to-go order but when brought home, the noodles did not get soggy and was perfect. Other places, I would never dare to order noodles to-go but this place is great. The KKanpung Saeu (Sweet and Spicy Shrimp) was also really good. I would definitely be coming back again and recommend it to everyone.
December 31 · BrandonWent as a family. We ordered Spicy Noodle, Black Bean Noodle, KungPao Chicken and Omelette Rice with Black Bean Sauce. Though it’s a corner in a food court, the food was restaurant quality. Hot, fresh and delicious. Giving 5 star for food and for service.
