When dining at La Masa Restaurant, the sheer variety might be overwhelming, but several dishes and features stand out as highly recommended for local New Yorkers seeking value, authenticity, and quality.
For those looking for a truly authentic and filling meal, the Main Dishes are the star of the show. The Bandeja Paisa is a must-try; one customer noted that after a long day of work, this dish was "filling and delicious." This hearty platter typically includes a medley of meats, rice, beans, a fried egg, and plantains, representing a cornerstone of Latin American comfort food. Other robust entrees include the NY Strip Steak A La Parrilla and various chicken preparations like Cilantro Lime Chicken and Pollo En Salsa De Ajo Ahumado.

Don't overlook the smaller, specialty items. Starting your meal with the iconic Empanadas or the popular Arepa Con Queso is highly recommended. For something unique, try the Maduro Relleno With Your Choice Of Protein, which showcases the perfect blend of savory and sweet plantain flavor. Finally, the service here is exceptional; as noted by the UIM PTA, the staff, including Manager Diany and servers Loralay and Maria, are "friendly, professional, and so thoughtful," guaranteeing a memorable visit every time. Would definitely come back.I had the bandeja paisa after a long day of work and it was filling and delicious. Also snuck in some frozen marI'm tempted to bring the family here for the family meal, same as the picture i posted.
July 22 · Carlos Montoya Jr.We had a truly wonderful experience at La Masa! From the moment we arrived, Manager Diany made us feel incredibly welcomed and taken care of. Her warm energy and attentiveness set the tone for the entire visit. Our servers, Loralay and Maria, were equally amazing—friendly, professional, and so thoughtful throughout our meal. The atmosphere was inviting, the food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. Thank you for making our visit memorable. We’re already looking forward to coming back!Alexandria Sumner, on behalf of the UIM PTA
May 24 · alexandria sumnerCelebrated my mother's birthday at La Masa. We had around 50 people. Diany and her team were amazing. The food and drinks options...so delicious. We ATE! We had an amazing time, and I can't thank them enough for helping make my mom's day one to remember.
September 06 · LeslygPositives: Very friendly waitress Maria and amazing food! I ordered the chorizo, skirt steak, egg, rice and beans combo and a peach Bellini. Clean bathroom.Negatives: The food took more than 30 minutes to come, even though they were having a Sunday Brunch special. I guess this is why the DJ decided to blast the music until my ears bled— even though few of us asked to turn down the volume. Overall, four dishes and two drinks cost over $250 with the Sunday special, which I couldn’t opt out of.
March 24 · BlackWispsLa Masa Restaurant is a gem! I had the bistec al Caballo—the steak was tender and full of flavor, and the egg on top was the perfect touch. The steak empanadas were crispy and packed with juicy, seasoned meat. I also tried the passion cream drink, and it was so refreshing and delicious—definitely something special!Great food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!
