Le Boudoir Introduce
Le Boudoir: Step Behind the Bookcase into Brooklyn’s Royal Secret
For the discerning New Yorker with a taste for the theatrical and the refined, Le Boudoir offers a truly unique escape from the city grind. This is not your average corner watering hole; it is a hidden craft cocktail bar inspired by the private chambers of Marie Antoinette. Located discreetly beneath the French bistro Chez Moi, the entrance—reportedly a secret bookshelf door—sets the stage for an evening of Rococo splendor and sophisticated indulgence. Stepping inside transports you to a subterranean, brick-lined cellar adorned with red velvet banquettes, antique sconces, and gilded mirrors, cultivating an atmosphere that is simultaneously cozy, romantic, trendy, and decidedly upscale.
Le Boudoir is celebrated in the Brooklyn Heights community for its dedication to creating exceptional experiences. From the creative and thoughtful cocktails to the stunning presentation, the bar’s identity as a women-owned business shines through in its commitment to quality and imaginative flair. It’s the kind of place that captures the magic of Brooklyn nightlife—an intimate, well-curated space that provides an amazing alternative to the mass-produced experiences found elsewhere in the city. The vibe is laid back yet elegant, making it an ideal destination for a memorable date night or a chic gathering with friends.
Locals appreciate Le Boudoir for its ability to deliver an immersive themed experience without the pretension often associated with high-end cocktail lounges. It’s a true New York gem that combines a playful historical concept with serious mixology, live entertainment, and excellent service, making it a place many hope will remain a Brooklyn fixture for years to come.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The drinks were ok except for the root beer float which tasted like medicine. Did not look like the pictures online. Had a laid back vibe which I can appreciate but it was much different than we expected based on the website. The service was abysmal.
August 24 · Amy RoyWent here on a whim as my friend and I were waiting for the July 4th traffic to die down. Was absolutely pleasantly surprised with how great it was! The atmosphere is wonderfully dark and romantic (perfect for a date), the burlesque performance was fun, and the staff was very nice and helpful. There is plenty of seating. These kinds of places make Brooklyn special. No line wrapping around the block, no pretentious bar staff, and no overzealous bouncers. I hope this place stay around for a very long time.
July 05 · Angelica GuerreroI went for the first time this past Saturday, Dec 28th, and I had an amazing time! The place is decorated beautifully, the bartender was really friendly, and created a new cocktail for the happy hour, that was unique and delicious, and the burlesque show was exquisite. I actually came here to see burlesque. There were two acts with a very talented dancer, who performed classic burlesque, one with feather fans, my favorite style. My only issue was the atmosphere between two acts, there was very loud club music playing between the acts, which in my opinion is not fitting speakeasy vibes at all. I couldn't hear my friends talking, but I didn't want to leave because I wanted to see the second burlesque act. If the music after the first act would be less loud/annoying, I wouldn't have taken one star off, it would've been a perfect speakeasy, with great service, cocktails and a show.
December 30 · Natalia FarringtonBottom line: intimate space with amazing mixology.Long line: this bar is absolutely awesome. Hidden away, I wasn't sure I was in the right place at first. Once inside, the bar has two separate areas (pictured) with one Victorian style one with velvet walls and old timey decorations and the other a brick basement. The drinks are intricate and numerous, and the two were tried were outstanding. Overall a great hang out spot and the prices were actually quite good for the area.
October 26 · Diego MarinI had the same experience as many others in the comments. The burlesque show is great but its one really good dancer for 5 minutes. We were left disappointed, waited a 20-30 minutes in case another performance was coming that never came. The venue is cool and has that speakeasy vibe but the overselling of the show coupled with mid drinks overshadowed it.
