This article is your guide to everything you need to know about Lok Hin, from its services and highlights to its atmosphere and what makes it a choice worth making for your next meal.
The New York food scene is vast and varied, but sometimes, what you really need is a quick, tasty, and affordable meal that reminds you of home. Lok Hin excels in this niche, offering a menu filled with comforting Chinese classics that are perfect for any time of day. Whether you're grabbing a bite during your lunch break, picking up dinner for the family, or even in need of some late-night food, Lok Hin has you covered. The restaurant's focus on quality and value has earned it a loyal following among locals who appreciate a spot that delivers on its promises.
One of the most appreciated aspects of Lok Hin, as noted by its customers, is the ample portion size for the price. In a city where costs can add up quickly, finding a place that offers "enough food for the right price" is a significant win. This focus on providing great value demonstrates a commitment to the community it serves. Lok Hin understands the needs of its clientele and aims to be a reliable and affordable option for everyday dining.
While some patrons note the small, "cozy" nature of the dine-in area, this actually contributes to the restaurant's charm. It reinforces the sense of it being a local, no-frills establishment that prioritizes the food and the customer experience over a large, formal dining space. This is a common and beloved trait of many of New York's best neighborhood restaurants—the focus is on what’s on the plate, not the decor. The casual atmosphere makes it a great place to stop in, grab a quick meal, and feel right at home. It's also noted as being "good for kids," making it a simple and stress-free option for a family outing.
Lok Hin also caters to various dietary needs, offering a range of vegetarian options. This inclusivity is a key feature, ensuring that a broader group of people can enjoy their food. The menu also includes small plates and quick bites, perfect for a snack or a light meal. The versatility of the menu, combined with the multiple service options, makes Lok Hin a flexible choice for almost any situation.
The fact that Lok Hin offers dine-in, takeout, and delivery services is a major convenience for New Yorkers. The ability to choose how you want to enjoy your meal, whether you're craving a casual sit-down dinner or a no-fuss delivery to your doorstep, adds to the restaurant's appeal. While some customers have experienced issues with delivery in the past, the fact that it is a listed service option suggests that it is a key part of their business model.
In conclusion, Lok Hin is a prime example of a great local Chinese restaurant in the Bronx. It's a place that prioritizes good food, fair prices, and customer convenience. Whether you're a long-time resident or just looking for a new spot to try, Lok Hin's casual charm and reliable service make it a definite contender for your next meal.

July 31 · John OquendoI like Lok Hin, It's a nice little cozy place meaning there isn't much room in the store so don't bring your family and friends to eat with you. The food is good and the prices are not bad at all I wish they delivered and I'm not that far away. Great place for pickup and take out don't eat in if you can help it.
January 15 · JohnFood was not good my wife order sesame chicken and pork fried rice it turned her off from the smell and look but she decided to try eat her thoughts on it was the chicken tasted refrigerated and her rice was burnt..No my order was shrimp fried rice and boneless spareribsThe meat was under cooked and the rice was kind of hard not a good look never again..
February 08 · Temell KnowlinLook…. It’s a Chinese fast food in a neighborhood. This is not authentic Chinese food. I know… The fried rice is old rice. Maybe a day or two and they fry it ti mask the taste and smell. They don’t throw anything out, the oil is changed every two ti three weeks. How do I know? I’ve worked at many Chinese joints, they all share the same work ethics 🤣. Now truth be told… when you have a few drinks in you or a few blunts you will order .Wuut wuut!!
