The restaurant specializes in the very items that made it famous: the all-beef hot dog, often paired with their signature crinkle-cut fries. While the menu has expanded over the years to include other American favorites like burgers, chicken sandwiches, and various loaded fries, the core offering remains rooted in providing a quick, easy, and recognizable flavor of the East Coast. For New Jersey locals and tourists alike, it serves as a convenient stop for lunch or dinner, embodying a casual atmosphere perfect for a fast meal. The establishment is particularly popular for solo dining and tends to attract a crowd that often includes tourists, likely due to its easily accessible location right off the major highway.

- Fast Service: One of the highlighted features is the fast service, which is essential for a high-traffic location like one situated on a major turnpike. This focus on speed is a major benefit for drivers and busy locals.
- World-Famous Hot Dogs: The main draw is undoubtedly the brand's signature all-beef hot dogs, which have been a cultural staple in the American food scene for over a century. They are the quintessential 'quick bite' comfort food.

- Good for Kids: The menu items and informal environment make it a suitable dining choice for families with children. Kid's Meals, which often include a hot dog or chicken tenders, fries, and a drink, are frequently available.
The brand's identity is inextricably linked to American culture, amplified by the annual Hot Dog Eating Contest held at the original Coney Island location, lending this Woodbridge spot a sense of history and tradition.
- Address: 9 NJ Tpke, Woodbridge, NJ 07095, USA
- Phone Number: The specific public telephone number for this location may require a direct search, but the address provides the most accurate geographic information for GPS and navigation, especially on the Turnpike.
The primary reason for choosing this location is its offering of World-Famous Hot Dogs. The reputation of the brand’s all-beef frankfurter is a draw in itself, representing a classic taste of Americana. When you want a consistent, traditional hot dog, this brand is often the benchmark. The accompanying crinkle-cut fries, known for their unique shape and texture, are an integral part of the experience, rounding out a satisfying and nostalgic meal.
Secondly, the restaurant’s logistical features offer unmatched convenience. Located right on the New Jersey Turnpike, it is built for speed and accessibility. The promise of fast service means minimal disruption to your travel plans or busy schedule. The overall atmosphere is casual and stress-free, making it an easy and quick option for lunch or dinner, especially for those looking for a simple, comfort-focused meal.
It is important to acknowledge that some customer feedback points to potential inconsistencies in service and food quality, suggesting that patrons should set their expectations for a straightforward, quick-service experience. However, for a quick stop that delivers on a craving for classic, recognizable American comfort food, and offers the necessary convenience for a high-traffic area, Nathan’s Famous remains a strong choice in the Woodbridge, NJ region. It stands as a reliable, casual outpost for a hot dog fix when traveling through or residing near this busy part of the Garden State.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Visit was 6/2/2025 about 520pm. Workers were not nice at all. Very rude not paying attention . Just worried about hanging out with each other. Food was very sloppy and disgusting. No effort just very lazy workers. Everything you said or asked was a bother to them. They gave dirty looks to customers . The picture below is disgusting what I found in my burger. The stalk of lettuce in my burger. Never going back nor should anybody
June 02 · Philip Jr Maggiore-FlanaganThe hotdog was not exceptional, didn’t appear to be cooked well enough to give it flavor. And the french fries were really quite disgusting, so greasy that I could barely eat them. I wanted to go to Popeyes and I decided not to, that probably would’ve been the smarter move.
April 07 · Michael PomaricoNathan’s at the Joyce Kilmer rest stop came through for me in a big way after a long, exhausting day at Sesame Place. Those $12 chicken fingers with honey mustard were exactly what I needed—comfort food at its finest when you’re running on empty. It might have been a bit of a splurge, but at that moment, it felt like a lifesaver.
August 30 · Marisa Balletti-LavoieI ordered and came back 10min later and no one was even making anything. I asked to order corn dogs and the cashier didn’t speak English and just pointed at the giant touch screen. Even after that nothing was made until I came back asking where it was then proceeded to wait another 10 min.
