NBetween Introduce
Welcome to NBetween, a vibrant and intimate cocktail bar that offers a truly unique experience in the heart of New York City. Tucked away within the bustling Chelsea Market, NBetween is a hidden gem that has quickly become a local favorite. This establishment stands out not just for its creative, Japanese-inspired cocktails, but also for its distinctive atmosphere, which combines the cozy, communal feel of a classic izakaya with the curated, audiophile experience of a Japanese listening bar. It’s a place where every detail, from the decor to the music, is thoughtfully designed to transport you to another world.
NBetween is more than just a place to grab a drink; it's a sensory journey. The bar prides itself on its innovative beverage program, led by a seasoned team of mixologists who draw inspiration from traditional and modern Japanese flavors. The result is a menu that is both familiar and surprising, with each cocktail telling its own story. The commitment to quality extends to every element, including the use of high-quality, large-format ice cubes that are a hallmark of Japanese bartending and ensure a perfect, slow-chilling experience.
This bar is also proud to be Asian-owned, a detail that is woven into the fabric of its identity. From the izakaya-style small plates to the nuanced flavors in the cocktails, the menu celebrates a rich culinary heritage. The space itself is designed to feel like a "hole-in-the-wall" spot found on the back streets of Tokyo, with warm, dim lighting, inviting decor, and an overall relaxed vibe. It's an ideal spot for groups looking for a sophisticated yet unpretentious place to gather.
NBetween is conveniently located at 443 W 15th St, New York, NY 10011, USA. Its prime location within the iconic Chelsea Market makes it highly accessible for both locals and visitors. You can enter the bar by keeping an eye out for a narrow alley marked by a green neon sign, which adds to the establishment's speakeasy feel. This entrance route immerses you in the experience from the moment you arrive.
The bar is well-connected to public transportation, with several subway lines serving the area. The nearest subway stations include the 14th Street-Eighth Avenue station (A, C, E, and L lines) and the 14th Street-Seventh Avenue station (1, 2, and 3 lines), both of which are just a short walk away. This makes NBetween an easy and convenient destination for a night out in Manhattan, whether you're coming from another neighborhood or just finishing up some shopping or dining within Chelsea Market. The location also offers easy access to the High Line, perfect for a pre- or post-drink stroll.

Choosing NBetween means opting for an experience that goes beyond the typical night out in New York City. The bar's primary appeal lies in its distinctive combination of a high-quality cocktail program and an immersive, thoughtfully designed atmosphere. The Japanese-inspired theme is not just a gimmick; it’s a deep commitment to an aesthetic and culinary tradition that elevates every aspect of the visit. From the moment you push through the plastic industrial curtain to enter the dimly lit space, you are transported to a place of curated drinks and sounds.
The cocktails are the star of the show. Customers rave about creative concoctions like the "Morning Glory," and the attention to detail in every pour is evident. While some patrons have noted the prices are on the steeper side, they also acknowledge that the quality of the drinks and the unique setting justify the cost. For those looking for a truly special cocktail, a visit here is well worth the investment.
While the food menu is concise, it is perfectly crafted to complement the drinks. The yakitori and small plates are flavorful and satisfying, making them the ideal accompaniment for a few rounds of cocktails. It’s the perfect place to grab a drink and a small bite rather than a full meal. The combination of great drinks, cool vibes, and delicious appetizers makes NBetween a standout choice for a date night, a relaxed catch-up with friends, or a memorable stop before or after a larger event in the Chelsea area. The friendly and welcoming staff, who have been praised for their genuine hospitality, further enhance the experience, ensuring you feel right at home in this one-of-a-kind space.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Cool Japanese bar/restaurant! I think the vibes are great here and the have a really cool interior. The food however was just very normal and a bit overpriced for my taste/the portion sizing. I think this would be a great place for drinks and maybe 1-2 small apps. But the pricing is still a bit steepfor even beer - would recommend this place if you’ve enjoy cool cocktails and a darker atmosphere/vibey music.
August 20 · MichelleOur favorite bar in the city. Hidden gem in Chelsea Market. Recommend reservation. We walked in last time, had to wait 20 mins or so during a work day. The staff are very nice to give us some free sake shot to apologize for the long wait. You can tell the quality of the drink from the ice 🧊 they chose to use. The food is amazing too. Love the Karage and Meal ball (both are on happy hour menu)My favorites drink hands down is Morning Glory
August 12 · ShuangerFood was so good. Drinks were delightful. Service was IMMACULATE. Went with my girlfriend on a bar crawl weekend trip, Billy & Carlos took such good care of us. It feels like you’re in an anime. The food is delicious, drinks are on point. Just GO!!!
May 23 · Ryan Soutside measurements, really milky and sweet, pineangle salad, spicy, strong and interesting. anyway, now that I got that out of the way, intimate cool vibes and great for like a casual. get together to have a drink, have the karaoke and it was fried. well, gets pretty packed
April 17 · Michael ChengThis place is very cute, intimate and good vibes. My friend recommended this spot and I was not disappointed. Tasty food and even better drinks. Our server Omar was personable, fun, professional and gave great suggestions on what to order that left me super impressed. The lights are dim, the music is good and its safe to call this a nice gem in NY. I really enjoyed the cabbage. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend this spot. Adding it to my favorites! Thank you!
