July 06 · Kevin ShimThis is a shared location. We went to the snack stand outside and got the fresh Onigiri. We got the spicy salmon and the tuna. I liked the tuna better than the salmon. It was nice and crunchy arm. The filling wasn't as much as I thought there would be but over all very good. They have shaved ice too. Will try out next time on a hot day.
June 12 · John YMaki a Mano in Chelsea Market is a standout spot that channels Tokyo vibes in NYC’s Meatpacking District. Nestled in the market’s main concourse, it’s easy to find thanks to the market’s smart organization. Wide, straight corridors and clear signage guide you past vibrant food stalls, with arrows pointing the way to Maki a Mano without any hassle. The market’s open layout keeps crowds moving smoothly, so you’re not stuck in a chaotic shuffle, even during busy hours. The restaurant itself is sleek and minimalist, with a chef’s counter that feels cozy yet welcoming. I tried the spicy crab roll and the spicy tuna roll—both were phenomenal, with fresh, zesty flavors and just the right kick of heat that lingered perfectly. Each roll felt like a little work of art, ideal for a quick lunch or a chill snack break. The space is compact but well-designed, with a few counter seats and tables that avoid feeling cramped. Hit it early to dodge peak market crowds for a relaxed vibe. Maki a Mano, paired with Chelsea Market’s intuitive flow, is a must for anyone craving top-notch Japanese bites in an easy-to-navigate setting.
June 02 · Besnik NokajThe rolls were good but not particularly memorable and my favorite was the unagi. It was a bit pricey compared to what you get; we spent about $75 per person but didn’t leave feeling full. I’d say Kazunori is way better in terms of flavor and pricing. Service was also not that good and there were very few staff so it took a while to get the food. The vibe was nice tho I wasn’t too sure about the location inside Chelsea Market
