It's the kind of place you stumble upon and feel instantly at home, with a vibe that’s "vintage but fresh, cozy but cool." The interior is beautifully designed, making it a "super photogenic" spot perfect for capturing your brunch or dinner experience. More than just a place to eat, it's a social hub where you can linger, people-watch, and enjoy a perfectly curated soundtrack that adds to the overall warm and welcoming atmosphere. This is a culinary haven that truly feels like a hidden gem, providing a genuine and memorable experience that goes beyond just the food on your plate.
The culinary philosophy at Old Fashion Café is rooted in the flavors of Southern Italy, specifically the Puglia region, but with a modern, New York twist. The menu features a variety of authentic dishes that have garnered high praise from customers. While the offerings are diverse—from a hamburger restaurant to a coworking space—the Italian cuisine is a clear standout. The pasta, in particular, has been described as "delicious and very authentic," and even a simple dish like the "Orecchiette al Pomodoro" is lauded for its fresh ingredients and rich flavors. The menu is well-rounded, providing something for every palate, whether you’re in the mood for small plates, a hearty main, or a quick bite. Offerings include classic appetizers like Bruschetta and Burrata, salads, and larger dishes such as the Old Fashion Burger and NY Strip Steak. They also cater to various dietary preferences, with a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options available.
Old Fashion Café is not just a place for great food; it's a destination for fantastic drinks. With a bar onsite, it boasts a reputation for "great cocktails" and a "great coffee" program. The bar team, which includes talented mixologists, crafts a selection of drinks that are both creative and delicious. The cocktails are a highlight, and the "live music" (as a potential feature, depending on the day) further enhances the lively, trendy atmosphere. This makes it a perfect spot for more than just a meal—it’s an ideal place for a pre-dinner drink, a casual meet-up with friends, or a late-night cocktail. The menu also includes a thoughtful selection of beer and wine, allowing you to perfectly pair your beverage with your meal. The availability of fresh juices is another small but significant detail that adds to the quality and care provided by the café.

It’s noted as being a great place for solo dining, as well as for groups, thanks to its cozy yet cool ambiance. The staff is consistently described as genuinely kind and attentive, with a personable approach that makes customers feel welcome. One reviewer even felt like a VIP. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I and a girlfriend of mine stumbled into this old-fashioned café in Soho for lunch and accidentally became the first customers of the day—which felt oddly VIP in the best way.We sat by the window (highly recommend), where the light hits just right, and the view is perfect for people-watching or just pretending you’re in a scene from a low-key indie film. The interior is super photogenic—vintage but fresh, cozy but cool. Basically, your brunch dreams live here.We went with an avocado toast and a pasta, pasta recommended by someone who seemed like the owner or manager—either way, they had great taste. The pasta? Delicious and very authentic. The granola we had after? Light, crunchy, just sweet enough. The avocado toast? Eh. Not bad at all, but it leaned a little too basic—like. A little zhuzh would take it to the next level.Still, I’d 100% come back. The vibe is warm, the staff is genuinely kind, and the music? Chef’s kiss. It’s the kind of place you linger a little longer in without meaning to—half for the food, half for the feeling.Oh btw they have very nice fresh juices I guess depending their daily supply:)) 🍍 🍊 🍓
June 25 · ZoeThe Old Fashion Cafe has a great ambiance, perfect for a cozy breakfast. We ordered the spinach omelette and avocado toast. The avocado toast was delicious, but unfortunately, the spinach omelette was way too salty, making it difficult to enjoy. While the setting was nice, the food quality could use some improvement.
September 28 · Megha NaikSuch a cute little spot, the inside is small but that’s what makes it a really nice cozy spot. The food was so good. I highly recommend getting the eggplant parmesan, it is to die for! This place also makes a tasty espresso martini ✨
November 03 · GabsI was pleasantly surprised. I walked in expecting a little divey spot. The decor is lovely. I ordered the burger and it was for real one of the better burgers I’ve had in a very long time. I’d recommend this spot to all the homies. I cleared the plate. I’ll be back for sure.
March 20 · Brandon ThomsonI booked a table in early July and I have to admit, with the pictures of the moody lights, I was expecting a more of a calm, dim, almost club ambiance. And calm it was not. It was a full house, filled with laughters and people shouting over their tables. I don't know if it's like that every night or I came there for a specific event but you know what ? Who cares ? If i want silence I better stay at home. Its a small space, but it does feel intimate, you're not fighting elbows and the seating allow for your own bubble anyway within the crowd. And in such a busy and loud place, you could notice the staff being focused, attentive to customers and trying to not miss anyone despite the hubbub. And our table, our waiters were efficients. As for the menu : there's classics and a few daring combo. The revisited tiramisu was light and great to share. As for the cocktails, they were just boozy enough and you get to appreciate each elements within without it being too overwhelming. Not what I was expecting and could be because we were just seated next to a big party, but delighted anyway.
