★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1You know the prices going in so I don’t knock them for that. I had a great time!Pleasant servers and plenty of them so you never felt like you were waiting for anythingCool atmosphere, especially the lighting.Food was great. Good texture. Variety of flavors. Black truffle nugget was fun to try! Love the two freebie side dishes (noodles and yogurt dessert)
August 01 · rob kasinowWhere fried chicken gets the runway treatment. It feels less like New York and more like you’ve been transported to a sophisticated high-end Vegas hotspot. The lighting is dim and sultry, the booths are plush and oversized, and the 9PM crowd is at full tilt. Ideal for group gatherings, all serviced by a very prompt and informative wait staff who are as polished as the vibe. While the vibe is infectious, the food stands on its own. The chefs signature fried chicken feast is presented in a sleek bucket with four signature sauces, picked vegetables and sides. It is part food, part spectacle. Both the coqodaq original and gochujang glaze are crispy on the outside, moist on the inside. The double-fried french fries are excellent, house-cut and extra crispy, perfect for dunking into the signature sauces. The bluefin tuna tartare is presented like a jewel on a bed of ice, with calabrian chili soy adding just the right amount of flavor. The house fennel salad provides a refreshing intermission of crunchy fennel and golden caper vinaigrette. For an unexpected savory-spicy kick the spicy tteokbokki delivers, a personal first and a delightful discovery of chewy and fiery rice cakes. Coqodaq is fried chicken made glamorous, dinner disguised as a night out. You will leave both full and entertained.
August 21 · yousefWhat a delightful brunch experience at Coqodaq NYC. From the moment you step in, the space feels vibrant yet relaxed, with warm tones and lively energy that instantly puts you in a good mood for the weekend. The team is attentive in a genuine, unhurried way, making you feel cared for without ever rushing your experience. The brunch menu is thoughtfully crafted, with every dish arriving beautifully plated and full of layered flavors. The fried chicken is simply outstanding—crispy, golden perfection while remaining juicy inside, paired with sauces that brighten each bite. The sides are just as memorable, from fluffy biscuits to crisp, fresh salads that balance the richness perfectly. The cocktails are another highlight, refreshing and well-balanced, adding a playful, celebratory touch to the meal. Every detail, from the music to the warm lighting, is curated to create a joyful yet elevated brunch atmosphere.Coqodaq is the kind of place where brunch feels like a special occasion without losing its comforting spirit. A place where you leave satisfied, already planning your next visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy an outstanding NYC brunch in a setting that feels both lively and welcoming.
July 20 · Mariya OkhtenThe fried chicken at Coqodaq was outstanding - the chicken was perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and the pepper parmesan sauce was to die for. Every bite was amazing and they did a great job elevating it - you can tell that they focus on the details.Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the food. It felt disorganized and sloppy throughout. Multiple servers asking within a short span whether we had ordered or finished eating, as if there was no communication between staff. One newer server repeatedly reached over our bar table without any notice just to refill water, even when he could have easily gone around, at one point knocking the salt over onto my friends jacket. At one point, another server bringing food brushed his hand against our chicken, which was really off-putting.For the price point, I expected a much more polished and coordinated service experience. The food alone is worth trying, but I hope the service improves to match it.
September 11 · Aaron ZhangAnother hyped up place that honestly lives up to the hype and is exactly what you get. If you’re looking for elevated korean fried chicken, then this is the spot. They have so many options to mix and match chicken, different flavors, different roe/caviar, and different drinks (beer, champagne, drinks). I actually thought given all the food and the quality, the price point was right. Especially given the ambiance and the great service. Definitely would come here again - great spot for friends, family, coworkers, and more!
