For any New Yorker in the market for a high-quality local bar that offers more than just drinks, Tom & Joan's is the undisputed choice. In a neighborhood where bars can often feel too trendy or too anonymous, Tom & Joan's provides a perfect balance of elevated offerings and genuine community spirit.
First, the core product is exceptional. The designation as a "Whiskey Bar" means enthusiasts can trust the depth and quality of their hard liquor selection, while the staff's ability to craft "Great Cocktails" ensures that every palate is satisfied. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1After party for a wedding. Drinks were good, and that grillled cheese hit after a long day and a little ‘cousins walk’Nice spot to grab a drink and watch a game
September 17 · Morgan KimminsThis place was such a treasure to find! Solid drink selection. The real gem though is that they have a good news bell for people celebrating! The bartender asked what brought us in and it was a friend’s birthday, but my partner and I are also engaged and getting married in April, as was another couple there with us that night. We all got a shout out, had celebratory shots, and it was so much fun! I absolutely love the good news bell. It’s also fun even if you yourself aren’t celebrating something to have those pleasant reminders of good things happening in others’ lives. I know it might sound cheesy when I say it like that, but it was really nice! They also have a nice patio in the back and shuffleboard in the main bar area. Highly recommend, will be back!
December 18 · Leigh PhanExcellent bar with the nest bar tenders! So glad it’s back post covid! They however had to stop offering the grilled cheese selections. They offer mini pizzas instead that are quite tasty. Deals are posted outside also!
June 24 · Sabrina McClendonColdest beer ive ever been served- bring a koozy! The bar tender had really nice vibes too. The drinks are cheap and they have games! 10/10 will come again.
November 18 · A.D. WatsonThe guy at the front of the bar, I guess is the bodyguard, was very rude and his attitude was horrible. I just wanted to get the number to this location and like a little info card if they had one and change but I was not able to do so because he was not letting me in at all. He was yelling at me and telling me to leave and the people outside was not understanding also to why he was getting reckless with me if I approached him in a nice and formal way. I hope whoever picked up the phone talks to him because I don’t want to actually take higher actions With this situation at all. Instead of that, it looks pretty, from outside I guess I can say.
