What is Worth Choosing
When visiting Tony's Pier, the main draw is undeniably the seafood, which is served in a comforting, straightforward style. While the menu is extensive, a few items and categories stand out as "must-try" choices, reflecting the local sentiment and the restaurant's specialties.
The Fried Seafood is consistently praised, often hailed by reviewers as some of the best on City Island. For a satisfying, crispy, and flavorful meal, you can’t go wrong with the Fried Shrimp or the comprehensive Seafood Combo. This section of the menu fully embraces the spirit of a classic seaside fried platter. For those who enjoy a richer dish, the Fried Lobster Tails are a decadent, generously portioned favorite.
For patrons preferring a lighter, less fried option, the Broiled Dinners offer excellent choices. The Snow Crab Legs and the whole or Broiled Lobster Tails are excellent, tender options. To sample a bit of everything, the Broiled Combinations offer great value. Specifically, the Seafood Pasta #4, combining Snow Crab Legs, a Broiled Lobster Tail, Shrimp, and Scallops, is a substantial and highly recommended platter. All broiled dinners come served with a choice of French Fries or Baked Potato.
Beyond the main course, the Frozen Cocktails are an absolute highlight of the Tony's Pier experience. The Pina Colada and its various spiked renditions, like the Henny Colada, are famous for their taste and potency, making them the perfect accompaniment to a waterfront meal, especially on a warm day.
Finally, make sure to save room for dessert. The restaurant's hot, fresh Mini Doughnuts are a unique local specialty that transcends the typical seafood dessert offering. With a huge variety of unique sugar coatings—from the fruity Speckled Strawberry and exotic House of Cardamom to the indulgent Cacaoboy—and various dipping sauces like Beer Caramel and Nutella, these mini doughnuts provide a sweet and unexpected finale to your waterfront feast. The combination of classic New York seafood, stunning views, and inventive desserts solidifies Tony's Pier as a highly rewarding choice for New Yorkers seeking a fulfilling and authentic casual dining experience in the Bronx.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The food was fried and fullOf greaseJust the way I like it I ordered the fried fish platter with fish of course calamari shrimp clams and scallops it was so much food . I enjoyed every last bite. First time there didn’t know what to expect. Fast quick service inside and outside dining picnic table style seating.
September 17 · Meli HA nice restaurant by the waterfront serving up seafood and many fried options.A dozen oysters for $18. A few tables had the king crab legs. The clams & fish whiting looked popular. The cheeseburger was a bargain for $6. My New England clam chowder was not as creamy and a bit short in clam meat. The venue interior is nicely cooled and organized.
June 23 · Frugal CyclistStopped in with a few family members (not my choice). First of all the establishment is a cash only place, they conveniently have several ATMs at the restaurant for a fee. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor dinning tables. Honestly this place really seems like fast food sea food style. Personally, I just am not a fan. I ordered the New England Clam Chowder which was not the way I like it, it was very runny and watery. I had the ribs because I did not want any fried sea food. The ribs were bad, smothered in awful bbq sauce. The only thing I liked were the tostones. My girlfriend ordered the fried whiting and it had no flavor it was rather blah. I did not like this place and will not return.
August 24 · Andres AyalaI recommend the seafood pasta as it has a unique take (usually they come with red or clam sauce). The fried calamares were a little too tough. The steamed clams was a great deal for the price. The bathrooms are clean. Overall, it has a beach seafood shack vibe and the staff were approachable.
April 15 · PaulinaThey have a great variety of seafood and it’s delicious. I would say fried food was a bit better than baked one but it depends on every person. They also have a variety of drinks (alcohol). It is a big place to enjoy with family and friends and it’s always full of people so you need to know there might be no table available for a moment.
