XiangJu XiangGuoLiLa is worth choosing for Brooklyn locals who value authenticity, customization, and speed. The restaurant’s primary appeal lies in its dedication to specific, high-demand regional Chinese specialties, moving beyond standard takeout fare. The Hot Spicy Pot (Ma La Xiang Guo) is the main event here. Customers rave about the ability to go to the counter, personally select their ingredients from a wide array of fresh vegetables, noodles (like konjac and yam), and proteins, and then specify their desired spice level. This highly customizable approach ensures that you get exactly the meal you are craving, whether you want a mild flavor explosion or a mouth-numbing Sichuan heat.
Beyond the Hot Spicy Pot, the menu features other compelling options. For instance, the River Snails Rice Noodle (Luosifen) is a deeply savory and complex dish that has become increasingly popular for its unique, umami-rich broth. For those who prefer a soupy, boiled dish, the Boiled Fish Pot With Chinese Pickled Cabbage (Suancai Yuer) is another specialty that provides a delightful sour and savory contrast. The generous portion sizes are another major draw, with many customers noting that a single order of the customizable Dry Pot can easily last for two to three meals, providing exceptional value for the price. While there is a note that the pricing is per pound for the Dry Pot and not per plate, the value remains high given the sheer amount of food you receive. With its combination of fast service, comfortable casual setting, and commitment to authentic, hard-to-find Chinese delicacies, XiangJu XiangGuoLiLa solidifies its place as an essential, high-quality dining destination in Brooklyn's diverse food landscape. It is the perfect choice when you are craving authentic, boldly flavored, and customizable Chinese comfort food for lunch or dinner.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I was surprisingly pleased to find a place in Brooklyn Chinatown serving up an authentic dry pot. You go to the counter and pick your ingredients and they make it for you, and pick spice level. Setting was like your old world chinese style restaurant. I picked lotus, konjac noodles, yam noodles, wide yam noodles, wood ear mushrooms, bamboo, tofu, tofu skin, bok choy, enoki and king oyster. It was a TON of food. The only things for me were that it appeared on the menu to be 8.99 a plate, they meant 8.99 a pound! It also was not spicy enough for me and did not have enough flavor. Ended up paying around $32 which was not what I wanted to spend. Had to takeaway and it lasted three meals for me with the rice they gave. Staff and service was attentive as well.
August 08 · Sapphira BellaOne of my favorite dry pot places but I suspect that the amount they weigh and the amount they cook is completely different. The lady took a whole pack of fatty beef and put it in the bowl of food that you chose and after it was done cooking… we each had about 1 slice … so the math isn’t mathing. Additionally we ended up with some random stuff we didn’t order like wood ear mushrooms etc. their crispy fish filet is good and so is their potato but be careful about what you add to your bowls guys… math doesn’t math.
September 21 · Annie NgHi friends!I’m continuing my journey through Asian cuisine to find great spots that offer amazing quality at low prices and this place truly makes me feel like a winner.I discovered this incredible restaurant where you can customize your plate by choosing your own toppings. Then, the chef cooks it right in front of you with impressive skill, making the whole experience both fun and delicious. The atmosphere is cozy, with authentic Asian decor, and the staff is friendly and helpful some even speak perfect English, which is a plus. The only downside is that the dining area can get a bit noisy, but that’s part of the cultural vibe and energy.I’m giving them a full five stars for both quality and price. I highly recommend you try this place you won’t be disappointed!
July 26 · Ernst GeorgesGood is amazing here. The sauerkraut spicy fish is amazing. Good spice, very flavorful. There are lots of vegetables under the fish and noodles that absorb the flavor of the broth. We had them cook us some vegetables and we picked the vegetables and it was very different than traditional Cantonese cuisine. It is refreshing and new the flavors. The fatty beef dish was really good. Reminds me of hotpot. The crab dish is out of this world amazing. I cannot describe the taste. I’ve never tasted this flavor before and couldn’t stop eating it. Relaxed atmosphere with bench seating. Very comfortable. This is my second time eating here and I highly recommend trying the food here!
May 03 · Eddie MoyI’ve been coming here regularly for their 麻辣香锅 it’s always been my go-to spot. But this time, I am really disappointed. My order had a lot of black (hard) particles inside and it feels like I’m eating sand. I’ve enjoyed this place in the past, but after this experience, I don’t think I’ll be returning.
