This Taiwanese bakery was a favorite growing up on the west coast and I love how there's one in Flushing. Located in Tangram mall, it's the perfect spot to grab a quick bite (or a snack for later!). You can enjoy your breads and pastries at upstairs at their tables, in the mall food court, or in the comfort of your own home.They have a good selection of sweet and savory pastries here, at an affordable price. I love their egg tarts and their pork sung bun, but all of them are good! A great, reliable bakery with always fresh, fluffy pastries. (Oh! And their drinks are also always the perfect pair with their breads!)

First time at this bakery and wanted to support a Taiwanese business. On the evening of Thursday, 08/21/25 at around 6:45PM, I purchased 2 buns: a Mango Custard Bun and a Pork Sung Bun (dried pork flakes with mayo; it was the last one). On the next morning, I tried the Pork Sung Bun and it was just terrible. Not only it was dry, hard, and "old" like it's been sitting there for days. The mayo was going bad (sour). I immediately called the bakery with the intention of providing a constructive feedback. Susan from the bakery answered my call and took the feedback with my info telling me that she'll share the feedback with the store manager and would issue a store credit. I was glad to hear because that's proper customer service and symbolizes that they stand by quality. I wasn't looking for a refund or credit. Then Susan called me back telling me that the Store Manager, Leo wants me to bring back the eaten bun!!! Like, ewwww! I had told her during the first call that I won't be able to make it to the Tangram Mall until a few days later and by her telling me that the manager wants to inspect the bun even days later makes NO SENSE! The bun is already hard, dry, and going bad. So, I should somehow keep this spoiling bun and bring it back so I can get a measly $2 something store credit?!! You all can keep my money because I am not interested in ever going back to your bakery. I'll just share the photos here so you can inspect it!!

They have much more selection now than in their first couple of weeks of opening. I was actually pretty surprised considering it was a Saturday at 2pm when I went.FYI there are 2 drink kiosks on either entrance.I was so blown away by the Hokkaido cream bun!! I love the sea salt drink series. Matcha sea salt was good and it has an adjustable sweetness level. So happy that there’s finally an 85 in nyc

Pastries are exactly what you’d expect from a mainstream Chinese bakery—small, a bit oily, lightly sweet, and easy to eat, but honestly kind of boring. The selection is large, the shop is clean and busy, and the vibe is nice, but nothing really jumped out or got me excited. I picked two items that looked promising; they turned out just okay. If you’re already in the mall, it’s a convenient spot for a quick snack, but not really a destination.
