ACME Introduce
Introduction / Overview
ACME is a vibrant and multi-faceted establishment located on Great Jones Street, right in the heart of New York City. It's not just one thing, but a unique blend of a lounge, a bar, and a nightclub, creating a dynamic space that transforms throughout the night. It's a place that attracts a trendy, upscale crowd and is often "super hyped up on TikTok" and other social media, building a reputation as a stylish destination for dining and a vibrant spot for nightlife. The venue is known for its "cool basement vibe with a disco" and features a live DJ later in the evening, promising a lively and energetic atmosphere for those looking to dance and socialize.
ACME distinguishes itself by offering a complete night out in one location. You can start with a sophisticated dinner, move to the bar for great cocktails, and then head to the downstairs lounge to dance the night away. The menu is a highlight in its own right, featuring a diverse array of French-meets-Italian dishes from elegant starters like Crispy Artichoke and Spicy Octopus Salad to hearty entrees such as Dry-Aged NY Strip and Pan-Seared Scallops. This emphasis on high-quality food sets it apart from many traditional nightclubs. The beverage program is equally impressive, boasting a wide selection of fine wines, champagnes, and an array of expertly crafted cocktails, including their popular Espresso Martini.
The atmosphere is a key part of the ACME experience. It’s described as a blend of cozy, romantic, and trendy, with an upscale feel. The venue is designed to be a "transportive backdrop" that elevates any occasion, whether it’s an intimate seated dinner or a lively cocktail reception. It's a place where you'll find a crowd of diverse groups, including tourists and locals alike, all looking for a memorable night out. ACME also takes pride in its inclusive environment, being an LGBTQ+ friendly and transgender safe space, making it a welcoming destination for all patrons. While the atmosphere is undoubtedly a draw, some patrons have noted that it can get "really packed and hard to move," which is a common experience in a popular New York City venue.
Location and Accessibility
ACME is strategically situated at 9 Great Jones St, New York, NY 10012, USA. This address places it in the vibrant and fashionable NoHo neighborhood, just a short walk from both SoHo and the East Village. Great Jones Street is a quieter, more residential street off the main thoroughfares, which adds to the hidden-gem, exclusive feel of the venue. The location is highly accessible by public transportation, with several subway stations nearby. The 6 train at Bleecker Street and the N, R, W trains at Prince Street are within easy walking distance.
The venue is committed to accessibility, featuring a wheelchair-accessible entrance, restroom, and seating, which is a significant amenity for a multi-level establishment in an older New York building. While there is paid street parking available in the area, it can be limited, as is typical for this part of Manhattan. Most visitors and locals prefer to use public transit or ride-sharing services to navigate the neighborhood. The central location makes it a convenient and desirable spot for a night out, easily reachable from many parts of the city.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This place is super hyped up on tiktok so I was really wanting to try it out, wasn’t a huge fan. Its a cool basement vibe with a disco but we got there at 10:30ish and left around 11:45ish and it never picked up or turned into dancing. DJ started around 11:15, maybe this place gets fun later in the night but we decided to go elsewhere. Will maybe try a later time next time. Its really packed and hard to move.
February 18 · Sarah BowdenMari Lu is probably the meanest person I’ve ever met. Every encounter with her has been inhumane and just up right rude. I’ve gone out in every night club in New York City and Mari Lu has probably been one of the most horrible bouncers I’ve encountered . I understand when bouncers don’t let you in into a club , but she was straight up mean. Do not come. This place does not deserve the attention.
September 14 · S RubioJust left a birthday party where I had the best time! I sadly can’t remember our server’s name but she was blonde and sooooo fun and sweet. Probably should mention the girls and I were there for bottle service so I can’t really say anything about the actual bar. Negative: DJ was mid. The room feels a little too dark. Positive: Shout out to the two awesome ladies working the door upstairs (Mary Lu and Pierce I believe?). They made the process of navigating the crowd and enjoying our night out super easy. Good place to celebrate a birthday or bachelorette!
April 13 · Tegan BennettExtremely dark bar, good to go on a first date if you are uglyFood is nothing special
January 21 · Andrés BerlI had a great night with my friends!! We were celebrating a birthday and had a table and it was so so fun. The manager, I think her name is pierce, but she kept checking in on us to make sure if we were doing okay and was having a good night, and I just loved that and enjoyed her energy! I ended up losing my phone towards the end of the night thought and she luckily found it for me! She’s the best and I really appreciate the hospitality from her and everyone else at acme as well!
