I went to this establishment for the 1st time and was highly disappointed. I purchased the alleged whole tray of chicken and pork combo and only received a thigh, wing and leg.as far as the chicken goes. I mean honestly if that is the case... what is the difference with a 1/2 tray serving if you receive a 1/2 tray with a whole tray purchase. I will say the taste of the food was good but I still prefer honesty with my portion sizes. Valenca Restaurant is literally less than 5 mins from this establishment and they ALWAYS show you your food before you leave at least they are upfront about their portion sizes.

So my wife ordered from this place today, which she does often. She ordered a combo, half chicken, half pork ribs and a small salad. They said the total was $40. When my wife asked why it was so much more expensive the woman said well the small s a lad os 7 dollars and they now charge $5 dollars for delivery. My wife decided to ordet anyway. My wife then called back to ask them to send a menu with the order, the rude hispanic woman said "we dont have any". I arrived home a couple of minutes later and my wife told me what happened. I thought about it and said you know what just call back and cancel the order. When she called back the same rude spanish woman came on the phone speaking in spanish. My wife said im sorry but I dont speak spanish. At this point i was standing next to my wife and i could hear her raising her voice at my wife. so I asked her to pass the phone because I speak spanish. I said hi id like to cancel the order please and she said ok but we wont deliver to your house anymore because this is the 3rd time you've called. I told her that for that price i wouldnt be c a lling anyways. Very rude, refuse to speak English and absolutely no customer service skills. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone anymore.

Good EveningToday I ordered from this place go's to the other argarves but I ordered from the wrong restaurant so I had to go around the corner to get my food is had an $100.00 bill i gave it to the young lady to pay the $19.79 or 95 got the change from her in seen all 4 $20 but never looked at it but I turned around and went inside to ordered chicken that $12.95 than I go's to another store and the owner of the store said the bill was fake go back to the restaurant and let them know they gave you an fake $20.00 so I'm in newark nj on elizabeth avenue i had to go to elizabeth nj to north avenue and jackson avenue to get blamed for it when the little girl gave me my change had to call police at this restaurant i waited at the store for hour and half never gave me the $20.00 trust me this taught me an lesson but I wouldn't be going back ever cause they given fake money the only thing I got was a cc number the police were great like why would I call the police and wait if I come back to this restaurant and told the little girl this bill isn't real bad experiences never ever eating there again the owner lied on me and all the food was horrible I gave it to an homeless man than when the police questioned him he didn't speak English but in the restaurant he was lmao I didn't get it when he put the hundred dollars in his pocket instead of giving me my real hundred than he tell me not to worry about the little girl just worry about the police that's coming i called the police to they came.I'm so angry 😠 😡 👿 😤 😒

I purchased 3 trays of food. 1 of beef ribs with rice and fries, 1 of chicken with rice and fries and 1 of pork ribs with rice and fries. I paid a total of $69.31. It was to-go and when I arrived back home with the food, I found pieces of a wire brush used for cleaning the grills in their restaurant in my food. Specifically within the portion of rice and french fries of the trays. I took the food back to the establishment, showed them the food and the only one who acknowledged the error was one of the cooks who's named Maria. She showed me the brush, it was old and broken, she called out the other cook working with her and gave me the benefit of the doubt. Now the manager and cashier. They refused to refund me, kept the tainted food and didn't even have the courtesy to at least offer and apology or to replace the food with a new order they were ambivalent and apathetic. They didn't care didn't resolve it. Because of that, I had to call the police. They also told the officers that they aren't going to give me a refund. So the officers suggested that I contact my bank and dispute the refund refusal to their disputes department. They filed a report on the establishment, said they will give it to me, and with that, it allows me to take these people to court with the police report if I choose. Specifically to the Department of Health and Safety. I am making this comment to advise other customers who may go to this restaurant to eat, to take picture of your orders and your receipt, and check to make sure something like the wire brush bits don't show up in your food. What if someone eating one of these meals ends up getting something like a piece of wire brush or something worse in their food? They could end up choking, dying, or even getting an infection in their intestines. It's metal, dirty metal that hasn't been cleaned. In general, this place has a huge sanitation problem and these two ladies (the manager and cashier) made me feel bad being a customer so long over there. over 15 years in fact. I've been buying food from since even the former owners of the place Atonio and Celene Oliveira were there. I feel disrespected and mistreated. They showed a complete lack of empathy, professionalism, trust, and lack of conscience with me as a customer in regards to the whole situation. I understand that when a customer is not treated with good service or are left unsatisfactory with their service, they are supposed to receive their money back at the very least. The manager told the officers that we allegedly planted the wire brush pieces in the food. Something was clearly wrong and lie and the lady who cooks and packs the orders (the aforementioned Maria) saw all of that as it truly unfolded. The manager and cashier lied right to the officers' faces. The blatant refusal for a simple refund to go to these lengths. This is stealing, it should be illegal. I suggest future customers read other comments on this restaurant as well because I'm not the first person to have problems with this place.

Food is good don't get me wrong but just like the other Algarve this one short my rib count.. Now a 1/2 combo usually 1/2 chicken 2 to 3 beef ribs.. Depending on size.. I order a 1/2 pork which is (4 pork ribs) 1/2 beet which u usually get (2) beef ribs.. I ordered Sunday and they forgot my beef ribs I called they knew they forgot and honored me my 2.. Got there after calling to confirm which they did and they tell me it's only 1 beef with 1/2 combo... I said lies.. Yall starting that ish like the other Algarve around the corner.. They say it's always been like that I said ur lying I've been coming to u guys forever and this is new just say that.. But 2 weeks ago I got 2.. Long story short I'm done with them also.. I been going on Elmora aslo they give u 2 also on the 1/2 combo..
