What is worth choosing
BelleFourchetter Restaurant is an essential choice for any New York local in Queens seeking authentic, high-quality, and deeply flavorful Haitian cuisine. What makes it particularly worth choosing are the confirmed reports of management reinvestment, leading to a noticeable upgrade in both food quality and the overall dining value. The consistent praise for the food being "seriously excellent," "AMAZING," and "DELICIOUS" confirms its status as a local favorite.
The restaurant's specialization in classic Haitian staples like Griot and Tassot Cabrit—prepared with authentic seasoning, a tender interior, and a perfect fried exterior—is a core reason to visit. A specific recommendation is the large fried pork platter, which is celebrated for its perfectly seasoned meat, coupled with the mandatory inclusion of the crispy plantains and the signature spicy pikliz. This combination of textures and flavors provides an unparalleled experience that truly transports the diner to the Caribbean.
However, in the interest of providing a fully factual overview, New York diners should note a minor, yet relevant, critique regarding consistency in the meat cuts. One detailed review, while overwhelmingly positive, mentioned that the fried pork chunks occasionally contained "more fat than meat." While the overall experience was rated as excellent and the quality of the seasoning was perfect, this is a point local customers should keep in mind, particularly when ordering high-volume cuts of the fried meats.
Ultimately, the commitment of BelleFourchetter to generous portions, meticulous packaging for delivery, a wide selection of authentic meals (including hard-to-find dishes like Stew Conch), and a positive atmosphere under new management solidifies its position as a must-try Caribbean restaurant in St. Albans. For a meal that delivers on every promise of authentic, rich flavor and great value, BelleFourchetter on Linden Boulevard is highly recommended.

haitian foodgriotfried porkcallmac and cheesemoney
★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I was a little skeptical with all the great ratings. Surely, I thought, they were exaggerating. I was wrong!! I literally saw their ad this morning while on the treadmill at the gym..lol. Thanks Planet Fitness!! Okay. So, went for lunch and ordered the large fried pork platter with rice and beans for $14. It also included 4 pieces of fried plantain, tomato based sauce, pikliz (the hot slaw) and asked for pickled onions on the fried pork. The pork was soft, tender and seasoned nicely. It was also made to order. The rice was delicious, plantains were crisp and the slaw was perfectly spicy. My only disappointment was that the fried pork chunks had more fat than meat. All in all the food was seriously excellent. I will DEFINITELY be returning. Two thumbs up!
June 28 · Starlica ReinéI've been coming here since they opened, luv it...New Management now food is AMAZING, WELL PACKAGED, DELICIOUS AND AMOUNT OF FOOD GIVEN IS WORTH THE PRICE. I will continue to support
March 09 · Joan HilaireNot very helpful nor accommodating for wheelchair users. Will not recommend. The food did not hit the spot for me. The place gives a take out atmosphere rather than dine in. It has a B grade from the department of sanitation. Not many choices on beverages. Overall, not what I thought based on photos and reviews. I was very disappointed with my experience. The only highlight is the Christian music that was coming from inside the kitchen or back room.
April 16 · Keren RaymondMy friends and I went to eat to the restaurant for the first time, we had an amazing time, foods were so delicious. Professional staff and the owner was very nice to us. My friends and I will go eat there every weekend... Best haitian restaurant in linden blvd area...........
October 01 · Peter ZoeMy girlfriend called to place an order yesterday about 6pm. She was told that they’re busy and they will call back in 2 minutes. We waited for 15 minutes and never received a call from the restaurant. She called again to try to place an order and no one answered. It was very disappointing because we wanted to try the food. Ended up having to order from a different place. I guess they don’t want our money? We ended up spending $70 elsewhere.
