What is worth choosing Bunton’s World Famous?
In a city with an endless number of bars, Bunton’s World Famous stands out by offering a genuinely unique and positive experience. The two reviews provided, despite one mentioning a temporary closure, perfectly capture the essence of what makes this place special. The first review highlights the "great crowd, great music, strong drinks, and solid prices," describing it as a "chill spot with a fun, easygoing, and mature crowd." This speaks to the bar’s success in creating a specific, desirable vibe that attracts loyal patrons. It’s a place where you can feel comfortable and have a great time, whether you're dancing or just enjoying the music.
The second review provides an even more powerful reason to choose this bar: the incredible display of kindness and integrity from the staff. The story of a traveler who lost her purse and had it returned by the owner and a security guard at 5 a.m. is a testament to the character of the people who run the place. This level of care and "kindness" is something that money cannot buy and is a rare find in any establishment, let alone in the bustling nightlife of New York. This experience, as the reviewer notes, would make them "forever indebted" and is a powerful reason to recommend Bunton’s to others.
Furthermore, the bar’s offerings and features make it a top-tier choice. The live DJs provide a high-quality soundtrack that keeps the energy high. The solid drink menu, including great cocktails and a strong beer selection, ensures every patron can find something they love. The presence of food pop-ups means you can have a full dining and drinking experience in one spot, while the ability to bring in outside food adds a unique layer of convenience. The commitment to inclusivity, highlighted by its identity as a Black-owned business and a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community, makes it a destination that aligns with the values of many New Yorkers. For all these reasons, Bunton's World Famous is more than a bar; it's a cherished community hub that offers a truly world-famous experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great crowd, great music, strong drinks, and solid prices. If you’re looking for a chill spot with a fun, easygoing, and mature crowd that still loves to dance and sing along—this place is perfect. The space is on the smaller side, so it fills up quickly and there’s not much seating. There is a cute patio out back, but unfortunately you can’t hear the music out there, which is a bit of a letdown. One big tip: take an Uber. Parking in the area is a total nightmare.
July 13 · Nissa MilfortI came here late last night for some drinks, they played great r&b music and the cocktails were delicious. I dropped my purse leaving the bathroom and didn’t realize it. By the time I returned the gate was down and everything closed. I saw one of the security (OT) literally pulling away on his bike. He kindly waited out with me and called everyone to see if there’s a way to get me back in since my passport was in the bag and I was traveling today. I think it was the owner who came down at 5 am to open the door and grab my bag for me. They were both just so kind and caring and this is definitely a space I would come back to for when I return. I’m forever indebted to their kindness and will tell ALL my friends to come back!
May 25 · Arda MohamedSo glad that Bunton's continues it’s reign as a facilitator black joy and immaculate vibes in the heart of Bed Stuy! My out-of-town friends and I had an unbelievable Sunday night experience here. I even lost my keys, but a huge shoutout to Alex for ensuring I got them back. The hospitality was great and the ambiance was amazing – 10/10 experience!
July 19 · Dayo OwoyemiThis cozy bar is a hidden treasure in Bushwick. The atmosphere is a very cool 80s feel with music to match! There is outdoors and indoors seating and large fans providing adequate circulation. We tried their pina coladas which were supplied with generous portions of rum! Great way to start out an evening before dinner or end the day with a late night cocktail!
August 20 · Gautam RamchandaniNice for a night out. There was no cover for men on weekend. I arrived at 1230am. DJ was rocking on Saturday night. Met cool ppl. The bartenders were quick even with the crowd. Drinks were good. I got rum punch for $16... which is relatively priced. They have a backyard where you can hang out and talk and smoke if you need to. This place was a dope spot. Definitely recommend.
