★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My husband and I visited this restaurant, late at night, during a one-night stay at the Long Island Marriott. We liked it.The food we ordered was delicious. The service was excellent.Bernard, the bartender was competent and friendly.Jet, the manager was welcoming and amicable.
September 25 · Olga HehlJust had lunch, and it was not what I had in mind. From the start, the server assumes that We know what the items bring when the only menu given is a paper printout with no description of the items. We requested a burger with mayo and no onions or pickles. The server said that it did not bring any of that. When it came out, it had onions and pickles and no mayo. I also ordered a margarita flat bread, and when it came out, it looked like a plain flatbread pizza out of a box. The cups on the table stll had lip marks from last used. It's such a beautiful hotel to have this kind of restaurant inside.
January 28 · Rafael CorderoOrdered the Lobster Mac and Cheese carry out. Menu lists it as: Orecchiette pasta, butter poached lobster, cheese sauce. $26.A good choice of pasta for this dish, but good lord was it overcooked. Mush, no bite left to it. Most appropriate comparison for the taste/quality would be frozen microwave dinner pasta, where it would rank between Banquet and Marie Callender's (the latter being better than what I received). The Marie Callender pasta would've had more bite left to it than this one.The sauce was... Well, mystery cheese sauce, as advertised. It was fine, but needed something more for flavor...something like lobster maybe. Good luck finding it. As far as I could tell, there was ONLY leg meat in this dish, which I'd consider to be the scraps of a lobster. It's fine meat, but small and chewy compared to the desirable parts of lobster. There also just wasn't nearly enough of it. I'm guessing the leg meat of one lobster in total, which is a meager amount for the price and amount of pasta. I don't see any other lobster dishes on the menu, so I really have to wonder where all the better parts of the Lobster are going...maybe they order in frozen lobster leg by itself?Additionally, carry out had a hidden surcharge or service fee of 20%. This wasn't posted anywhere and I only found out about it when paying.Speaking of carry out, it is possible that the dish cooked inside the container. It was quite hot when I tried to take it out of the bag, and the container wasn't vented. But I spent all of 1-2 minutes from receiving it to getting to my room and opening it. Maybe it was prepped and sitting in the kitchen for a while before getting to me and it baked itself. Or maybe they just overcooked the pasta 🤷I can't imagine the restaurant would get away with charging these prices if this was everyone's experience, so maybe I had bad luck. But I was hearing other grumblings of meals taking a long time to come out that night while I waited, so maybe something was up.Staff were all great, from the bar, to the servers, to the concierge lounge. Even the manager I spoke to the next day to let know it didn't meet expectations. Everyone was honest and had great customer service skills.
September 24 · This GuyOrdered the chicken milanesa. It was $28 for just a piece of breaded chicken breast, a little bit of lettuce and tomatoes on top of it. They said it came with a side salad but it really was just like a topping on the chicken. Flavor was bland and did not taste fresh. I ordered it for take out and took to my room which was prepared fairly quickly in about 15 minutes.
March 20 · Alejandra ValdezThis restaurant is located in Marriott Hotel in Long Island. I like the table and chair. It looks simple but comfortable. Our seat can see the reception desk , the elegant fragrance can be smell all the time. It's quite disappointed when we looked at the menu. We visited there because of the yelp review. We were told the menu we saw is no longer served. Anyway, it's late, let's eat something. We ordered the Crop&Kettle Burger and the Pasta. To be honest, the burger is just ok, not too oily, but not so impressed for $20. We like the pasta. It tasted favorable. French fries is crispy. We didn't try the desert, just 3 options, cheesecake, chocolate cake and I forgot the last one.My daughter likes there, maybe we would go back to try other dishes.
