## What is worth choosing
E.A.K. RAMEN is an excellent choice for New Jersey diners for three primary reasons: the superior quality of the ramen itself, the speed of service, and the extensive inclusivity of the dining environment.
For authentic flavor, the restaurant delivers. Choosing any of their signature ramen options means indulging in a "rich" and deeply satisfying broth, which is the cornerstone of great ramen. The ability to customize with add-ons like a perfectly cooked egg ensures a personalized, high-quality meal. Furthermore, the small bites—especially the "very good" and perfectly crispy **Karaage** and the delicious **Takoyaki**—are a must-try, offering a true taste of Japanese street food culture.
The **self-service model** is a major advantage for locals seeking a quick lunch or dinner break. The impressive speed, with orders ready in a "couple of minutes," solves the problem of long waits common in the bustling Garden State Plaza, making it an ideal choice for efficient, yet high-quality, dining.
Finally, the restaurant's commitment to inclusivity—from offering full **Vegan and Vegetarian ramen options** to creating an **LGBTQ+ friendly** and **Family-friendly** atmosphere with dedicated amenities—makes it a truly welcoming spot for the diverse Bergen County community. While a customer suggested improvement in using actual dishes instead of plastics to enhance the presentation, the overall positive feedback on the food quality and efficient experience confirms E.A.K. RAMEN as a worthwhile and flavorful choice in Paramus.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1EAK ramen is located on first level of Garden state plaza. It has open concept, spacious seating, clean and organized.Self service to order and pick up the food. We had signature ramen, curry with rice (a little spicy), karage and shrimp bao.The egg was add on to my ramen. It was good. Ramen broth was rich. Very flavorful. Ramen itself had good texture. Karage was very good. Crispy skin and tender inside. The staff were very friendly and helpful. You need a key for the bathroom because non-customers could walk in. The only thing I would suggest is use actual bowls, plates and utensils. The plastics make food unappealing.
May 19 · Sharon H.We needed a place to grab quick lunch on Saturday noon, so decided to try out this newly opened restaurant in GSP. The store is next to Macy’s watch section entrance. It is mainly self served. You have to put in your order at register and then pick it up when order number is called. They have a huge dining area, with regular/high chairs and tables. We ordered the takoyaki, karaage, shrimp bao, curry over rice with chicken and EAK Shoyu ramen. Impressively, the whole order was ready in couple of minutes. I loved the taste of all the items., especially takoyaki and kareage chicken. Shrimp in the bao was good but needed some sauce. Ramen’s broth was tasty. Noodles were good. Overall I was really pleased with the food quality and the experience, being self-served, didn’t require paying additional 15%-20% as tip.
May 18 · Nehal AhmedThe bowl of ramen I had at EAK Ramen in Garden State Plaza, Paramus, was an unforgettable experience, and this photo captures exactly why. This was their signature Shoyu Ramen, and every element of it was outstanding. The broth had a creamy, golden hue with visible richness—loaded with flavor, but not overly oily. It had a deep, savory base that hinted at soy and slow-simmered bones, resulting in a comforting, umami-packed taste.Floating in the broth were two perfectly torched slices of chashu pork—tender with crispy edges that added a smoky depth to the bowl. The seasoned egg was cooked to perfection, with a delicate outer white and a rich, slightly runny yolk that blended beautifully with the broth. The fresh spinach provided a nice textural contrast and a slight bitterness that balanced the richness. The diced onions added brightness, and the broth-to-fat ratio was spot-on—indulgent but not greasy. While the noodles were hidden beneath in this shot, they were firm and bouncy, holding the broth well with every bite. EAK clearly nails the details that elevate a simple ramen bowl into something crave-worthy. It’s the kind of meal you remember—and one I’ll absolutely return for. This is comfort food at its best.
June 02 · Omer YukselGreat tasting ramen for a decent price. Served in a cup instead of a bowl. Felt like I wasn’t given enough meat or noodles because everything was smushed into a small cup. Felt more like cup noodles than ramen in a mall that’s a bit more upscale.I would eat here again, but I would definitely select add more meat and noodles.I have nothing to say about the service. I ordered through a touch screen tablet, and never once interacted with a person. And honestly, that’s not bad in my book! Sometimes not having to deal with people is great. The atmosphere is very cute, aesthetic, and cozy!
September 04 · Diana S (dreamlikediana)On April 30th around 1 PM, I decided to order a bowl of soup here. As I was paying, it was clear the cashier was displeased that I didn’t leave the “expected” tip. He went over to the cook and, shockingly, insisted on preparing my soup himself—just so he could spit in it.When I sat down, I noticed both the cashier and the cook giggling and whispering while looking at me. It was disgusting and made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. I had to throw the soup away without even tasting it.No refund was offered, and no apology was given. I truly hope management reconsiders who they hire.To all potential customers: avoid this place until serious changes are made!
