FUYU RAMEN AND SAKE Introduce
Introduction / Overview
In the heart of the dynamic Queens neighborhood that straddles Long Island City (LIC) and Sunnyside, New Yorkers seeking a truly authentic and deeply satisfying bowl of Japanese noodle soup have found their go-to spot: FUYU RAMEN AND SAKE. This establishment goes beyond the standard noodle shop, offering a genuine culinary experience centered on meticulously crafted ramen and a full izakaya-style menu. The restaurant's reputation is built on the foundation of its broth—described by loyal customers as rich, savory, and authentic, the result of a traditional, hours-long simmering process undertaken by Chef Owner Steve.
FUYU RAMEN AND SAKE is particularly popular for its signature Tonkotsu ramen, a rich, milky, pork-bone broth specialty that forms the backbone of the menu. However, the offerings are diverse, catering to all palates, from the fiery kick of the Spicy Miso and Tantanmen to the lighter, flavorful Chicken Shio. Vegetarians in New York will also appreciate the thoughtful options, including the Veggie Shoyu and Veggie Spicy Miso ramens, ensuring everyone can partake in the noodle-slurping fun.
The atmosphere is a compelling blend of casual and cozy, making it an inviting space for all types of diners—whether you're a local grabbing a quick bite, a college student meeting up with friends, or a couple looking for a quiet, trendy dinner. Beyond ramen, the menu offers a tempting array of small plates and appetizers, such as perfectly fried Gyoza, savory Takoyaki, and the highly recommended Potato Croquettes, establishing FUYU RAMEN AND SAKE as a full-service Japanese and pan-Asian-inspired destination.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Wonderful vibe, and authentic ramen! That broth is very rich, the noodles are stretchy, the eggs are cooked perfectly, and the pork was tender! I left full and satisfied. I also got takoyaki, both items came out piping hot. I look forward to trying their other dishes.
July 16 · Anita ChangThis is my favorite Ramen spot in Sunnyside! I got the veggie miso 8/10 but it is always fresh and delicious! My friend got the tantanmen and I alwayssss recommend the potato croquettes.
April 03 · Jyosana rautIm happy to find another ramen spot haha.Love their lunch special
August 10 · Henry MartinezI got the lunch special—Chicken Shio ramen with a small poke bowl. Everything was tasty and well worth the price, but funnily enough, my favorite part was actually their baek kimchi side dish. They put a slight twist on the traditional version by adding a bit of mustard, and I really liked it.My husband got the tonkotsu ramen with a small chashu don, and once again, I found myself enjoying the small details—like the sesame dressing on the house salad. I guess it’s those little touches that make a restaurant stand out and feel special.
March 06 · Stephanie ParkReally good bowl of Shio Ramen with generous toppings, it’s a great find in Sunny Side. The broth was well made and seasoned, clean but flavorful. A garnish of spinach lent a nice earthiness which rounded out the ramen really well. Noodles had a nice springy texture and curl which I preferred. A nice cold beer with this really hits the spot
