★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’m so happy I stumbled into this thai restaurant! It’s so simple and unique. The grilled chicken and fried pork belly with ginger rice was 10/10 for me. The flavors were there and paired with the tamarind sauce, I truly enjoyed every bite. The soup that comes with the meal is subtle and pairs well with the strong tamarind sauce taste. It is a small and authentic hole in the wall restaurant in Kips Bay. The servers are very caring and make sure you are comfortable. Will definitely be coming here again ☺️
May 02 · Dixie GoI’ve been to many Thai restaurants, and while Hainanese Chicken Rice is often associated with Thailand, it’s truly a beloved staple across the entire Southeast Asian region. In my opinion, a great plate of Hainanese Chicken Rice relies on the perfect harmony of three key elements: the rice, the chicken, and the sauce. The chicken-fat-infused rice is the soul—fragrant, rich, and perfectly textured. The poached chicken is the backbone—tender, juicy, and cooked just right. And the sauce? That’s where the personality comes in—bold, flavorful, and absolutely essential. This restaurant nails all three. Not only does it capture the authentic flavors, but it also shows great attention to detail, making me feel like I’ve been transported back to Southeast Asia, right here in New York City.Their Thai-style pork rib soup is also a standout—sour, spicy, and incredibly satisfying. The broth is rich and aromatic, and the ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender. It’s the kind of dish that warms you up from the inside out. What’s even more impressive is how reasonably priced everything is. In a city like New York, where good food often comes at a premium, this spot offers exceptional Southeast Asian cuisine at a great value. Whether you’re craving a taste of home or exploring these flavors for the first time, this restaurant is absolutely worth a visit!
April 08 · Erxiang MoBest place for authentic Khao Man Gai in NYC. The food was amazing but service was even better! They treated us like family and we’ve never had a better experience at a Thai restaurant! This should be one of your stops, highly recommended!!
August 02 · VerayaThis has to be the first food review where I literally couldn’t take a photo—because, well… I ate it all before I even thought about my phone. Sorry fam, no food pics here. Go stalk someone else’s review for that. The chicken rice? Straight-up legendary. Steamed chicken so soft and juicy it melts, fried chicken that’s crunchy perfection, and the soup hits different—pure comfort in a bowl. And the sauce? Bro, it slaps. No long essay needed. Just know it’s that good. Try it yourself before I clean out the place again.🤣🫣😱
September 14 · CHE S88This place is amazing!! Do not miss it!! My wife and I had the Khao Man Gai Tod and Crispy Shrimp Dumplings. Both were simple and flavorful! The staff was helpful and friendly. Again, if you’re thinking of going here - do it!! You won’t be disappointed.
