For a first-timer at this Halal Cart, the choice is clear. The absolute best thing to get is the classic chicken over rice platter. It's the quintessential New York halal food experience, with tender, well-seasoned chicken served over a bed of flavorful rice, topped with their signature white sauce and a drizzle of hot sauce to taste. This dish is a crowd-pleaser and is consistently praised for its ample servings and delicious flavor. Another excellent choice is the falafel over rice. For those who are vegetarian or simply prefer a plant-based option, the falafel is crispy, flavorful, and a great alternative to the meat. It's also a perfect choice to share or for a lighter meal.
Beyond the platters, the Halal Cart also offers various sandwiches, which are equally satisfying for a quick meal on the go. However, the platters are what truly define the experience, offering the best value and a more complete meal. When you order, be sure to ask for extra white sauce on your platter and a little bit of the hot sauce. The combination of the rich meat or falafel, the savory rice, and the creamy, tangy sauces is what makes this cart's food so legendary. In a city filled with food options, this simple, high-quality meal is always worth the choice.

December 30 · Ruwan J.I stumble across this Halal cart one day when I was grabbing some grocery from Whole Foods. I am from out of state. This halal truck has better food than the halal brothers famous halal cart on 6th ave. Since coming across this cart, when ever I am traveling to NYC and pass thru this area, I grab a platter. My only disappointment is the cart does not seem to be there everyday. So it can be a hit or miss some days. If anyone knows where this cart is on days he is not outside of whole foods, please share!
