Lobby Bar Reviews
My husband and a friend of ours who was visiting from out of town, got to the bar 10 mins early. While being the only ones seated at the bar, we saw Emily come in to set up. It was 3:12pm when we asked if the bar was actually open. Prior, she didn’t acknowledge us at all! No introductions or apologies for her late start. We then asked about a drink that was previously on the menu and she said it was no longer available. Anything she said after, could not be heard. We asked her twice what she had said. She continued to fidget with a bottle cover while not trying to speak any louder. We ultimately decided her nonchalant and dismissive attitude was not worth the headache. Our visit was Mar 16, 2025.
March 16 · Dae StewartUnfortunately I had a recent run in with whatever bartender other reviewers have mentioned. He was white, maybe 6 feet tall, with wavy dark hair working during the evening. He was extremely rude, unpleasant, and unprofessional. Picture your high school bully, but somehow 10 times worse. It felt like this man was getting paid per altercation with customers (and the more drawn out the fight, the more $$ he would pocket). It was that bad. I don't think I have ever met someone more outwardly disrespectful, antagonistic, or just straight up mean. The way he spoke to customers was completely inappropriate. This bar has so much potential because the space is gorgeous, but for as long as this man is there picking fights with customers, it won't be a good spot. I recommend that you save your money and don't spend it on someone who will verbally/figuratively throw a drink in your face.
December 19 · Hannah CGreat atmosphere and drinks, a lot of cushy sofas and armchairs to sit. However no laptops after 6pm policy and it is enforced, so me and my colleague could not finish our presentation slides in the lobby.
October 20 · HANE XxxxWent to this bar last week - Nino is an awesome bartender who makes seriously amazing cocktails. He’s super attentive and always makes sure everyone’s taken care of, even when things get busy. Plus, he's really friendly and knows exactly what you need before you even ask. If you want great drinks and good vibes, Nino’s your guy!
September 22 · Kathryn SharkeyJoe (Caucasian, working the bar on 3/29 evening around 10 pm) absolutely ruined this bar in my books. We used to like coming here for drinks (decent fwiw). Tonight, one of our friends was feeling a bit sick and we told him to take a 10 minute power nap. Less than 5 mins later, Joe (who isn’t even our server!) storms over and literally yells at all of us “HE CANT SLEEP HERE” multiple times. Mind you, we ordered drinks and a snack for everyone (a mocktail for the friend), had arrived 15 mins prior. Asking once would be enough, and you really could ask politely, @Joe. We actually wondered if Joe was treating us differently because we were a group of Asians. Our friend obviously woke up from the incident, and left because of Joe’s absolutely rude attitude. We did not feel welcome and we will not be returning to the Lobby Bar again. We obviously get that people shouldn’t be sleeping at bars, but really, the attitude is not necessary. We felt like we were being accused of criminal activity, it was that bad. The guy was sitting upright, we don’t need to be scolded like children.
