Kebab aur Sharab Introduce
In the vibrant and diverse culinary landscape of New York City, Kebab aur Sharab stands out as a destination for those seeking an elevated and authentic Indian dining experience. This Upper West Side restaurant is more than just a place to eat; it is a meticulously crafted journey back to the flavors of Old Delhi, reimagined with a modern flair. The name itself, "Kebab and Drink," hints at the restaurant's dual focus on expertly grilled meats and a creative, well-stocked bar. It's a place that manages to be both trendy and traditional, blending an upscale, romantic, and cozy atmosphere with a menu that pays homage to the street food and comfort food of India. The decor, featuring beautiful peacock-inspired designs and warm lighting, creates a welcoming and visually stunning environment that sets the stage for a memorable meal. This is a place for a special occasion, a romantic dinner, or a sophisticated group gathering. While some guests have noted occasional issues with wait times and seating arrangements, the overall feedback is overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the high quality of the food and the vibrant atmosphere. The restaurant's reputation is built on its ability to deliver bold, authentic, and perfectly balanced flavors that truly capture the essence of Indian cuisine. The fact that it has been recognized by the Michelin Guide as a noteworthy establishment further cements its status as a premier dining destination on the Upper West Side. Kebab aur Sharab is for the food lover who appreciates the art of Indian cooking and is looking for a culinary experience that is both flavorful and refined.
The essence of Kebab aur Sharab is captured in its menu, which offers a contemporary yet authentic take on Indian cuisine. The "Kebab aur Sharab" concept is brought to life through its two main offerings. The food menu focuses on dishes cooked "Koyle Se," or over coal in a traditional tandoor clay oven. This method infuses the meats with a smoky, charred flavor that is a signature of authentic Indian cooking. Standout dishes include the Lamb Chops Lal Mass, which are praised for their juicy and smoky depth, and the Famous Butter Chicken, a favorite among patrons for its rich, velvety, and perfectly spiced sauce. The menu also includes unique offerings like the Baby Goat Doori Kebab, a melt-in-your-mouth kebab prepared with a traditional cotton thread technique. Vegetarian options are also available, ensuring that everyone can find something to love. Beyond the kebabs, the "Dil Se" or "From the Heart" section features classic curries and comfort foods like the Dal Makhani. The "Sharab" or "Drink" part of the menu is equally impressive. The restaurant offers a curated list of creative cocktails with Indian-inspired twists, such as the Mango Chutney and Falooda cocktails. The wine list is extensive, featuring high-end selections from vineyards around the world that are expertly chosen to pair with the rich, spicy flavors of the food. The beer selection also includes options that complement the cuisine. This careful attention to both the food and the drink menu ensures that every aspect of the dining experience is harmonious and enjoyable. The restaurant's commitment to using high-quality ingredients and traditional cooking techniques is evident in every dish, making it a standout choice for those seeking an unforgettable culinary experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Overrated - made us wait for 50mins, until everyone comes in. We were two and kept waiting for rest of party to join us. We booked 5 seats, and requested them 6. They took almost 30mins to figure out if they can manage and give us 6 seats instead of 5.Place was congested overall: food was average. Nothing was extraordinary - Indian food - everything has saffron (specially baby goat dori kabab which ruined the taste of kabab.I don’t mind paying, but adding saffron in every dish does not make is any superior.Nalli pulao was average -Amritsar fish, butter tikka, butter chicken was something we actually enjoyed.Mango lassi was delicious. We celebrated our friend’s birthday, but at this fancy/michelin star restaurant - there was no concept of complimentary dessert (which is shocking) if you have high standards, you could easily please your guest with a good dessert. 🍮Anyway!! They kept threatening for cancelling we will charge, we need everyone here to be sitter. This behavior is not vibing with Michelin star restaurant -Paid $100/person.
August 17 · Khulood Talpur⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️An unforgettable culinary experience!Kebab Aur Sharab in NYC completely blew me away. The flavors were bold, authentic, and perfectly balanced—especially the butter chicken and lamb kebabs, which were juicy, smoky, and full of depth. The ambience was warm and vibrant, with a modern twist on traditional Indian decor. Cocktails were equally creative and paired so well with the food. Every detail, from presentation to service, was top-notch.Can’t wait to share the photos—this place truly looks as good as it tastes. Highly recommended for anyone who loves Indian cuisine with a flair.
July 01 · Du PartsKebab aur Sharab has become one of my go-to spots, and I’ve never left disappointed. I’m so happy to have this place in my neighborhood. It’s consistently delicious and welcoming. This time, I sat at the bar since I didn’t have a reservation, and the bartender was incredibly kind and informative. Started with the Aslam Butter Chicken Tikka, which is always a favorite — tender, smoky, and coated in rich buttery spices. The seasonal fried fish was perfectly crispy and paired so well with the fresh chutney. For the main, we had their famous butter chicken with roti — still the best butter chicken I’ve had in NYC. The flavors are bold and comforting, and everything is always beautifully done. I’ll definitely be back again soon.
June 12 · Yuri ChoiThe service is very fast. They have great decor ,and I loved the elegant chairs and the lighting as well. The food was as good as we thought it would be.We had a reservation earlier done from the website ,so there wasn't any waiting time for us. Would recommend you do the same.Overall it's great for having proper Indian food.
June 26 · Laba Kumar DekaThis was a destination-level restaurant for me. When I am back in the city, I will make a stop here. Everything was great - food, service and atmosphere. We had the Rose Petal and Paneer Kofta, Kerala Fish Curry, Bangin’ Baingan and Lacchha Paratha. I recommend all of these dishes. I am vegetarian, but I tasted the sauce on my friend’s fish curry. I rarely crave foods off my vegetarian diet, but I definitely wanted more of that one. The kofta was unique and delicious. I would get all of these again. The service here is genuinely impeccable. They offer a level of service that has nearly disappeared from the industry, where they carefully course your meal and are just wholly attentive to detail. They anticipated every need and knew exactly when to be available and how to take care of us. The atmosphere was stylish and beautiful but not stuffy, so you would feel comfortable dressed up or moderately casual.
