★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Amazing food, great service - Best Indian restaurant on the UWS ! Especially recommend the Butter Chicken & the Samosa Chaat Appetizer (see attached pics - a Samosa with sauces, chickpeas and crunchy bits - Truly Amazing - Trust me, you have to try it !) ---Also - all of the desserts are so good !We've been here many times since they opened, and it's been a great experience every time + the owner-manager is Super-Friendly which adds to the overall great atmosphere
September 08 · Anthony KakoThis place has the most incredible Indian food I have tasted in a long time. Everything from the samosa chaat, to the lamb curry and chicken kebabs was a 10/10! The service was absolutely fantastic and the staff were so caring and kind. Highly recommend if you are visiting nyc or living here!
June 11 · Daman DhunnaFirst of all upon walking in, I was greeted with the kindest smile and impeccable service. The gentleman who served me is all great vibes and provided an amazing experience. He explained the dishes and made sure everything was to my liking. This is important when ordering Indian food/ from cultures that incorporate different spice leveles in their dishes. The food was amazing. It was delicious and the service and food quality went hand in hand for a great experience. The lunch specials are an amazing option which is what I tried. I also had one beer and tried paneer tikka for the first time. The naan was amazing too! I was completely full after having 3 pieces of paneer and the lunch. They provide as much rice as you like. I came home with leftovers. It was perfectly portioned. It is also conveniently located literally in front of the 103 train. I will definitely be back and bring my partner. I can’t wait to try lamb saag and the seafood dishes and samosas and basically everything on the menu.
June 03 · Ashley CimkowskiThis newly opened Indian restaurant delights with rich, authentic flavors and impeccable quality. Each dish, from aromatic biryani’s to creamy butter chicken, bursts with perfectly balanced spices and fresh ingredients. The attentive staff enhances the warm, inviting ambiance, while the chefs’ expertise shines through in every bite. Don’t miss the fluffy naan or decadent gulab jamun. Ideal for both casual dinners and special occasions, it’s a must-visit for anyone craving genuine Indian cuisine.
March 08 · Diwas PoudelAn Indian spot opens up in a former Indian spot that closed abruptly. Sounds sus. Obviously, I ran here asap. The apps were solid. But, you don’t really need them. I’d rather get an extra garlic naan. IYKYK.Never ate at the previous incarnation. But it doesn’t look that different, interior wise. Maybe the walls, but the tables and layout look- the same. The mains were valid. The butter chicken and lamb vindaloo were both tender and seasoned + spiced well. Their naan is superior- 4/5.Skip desserts. You’re welcome. For novice & basic Indian diners, this spot hits all the notes with its approachable menu & homey vibe. Appropriately UWS in its design both in the food & front of the house vibe. The true star is the service. Attentive and very accommodating. Super friendly. That said, it’s awkward when it’s slow. You can hear everything and everyone. Even a silent but deadly fart can be heard across the room, so imagine the surprise when I heard grandpa let one out during the app portion of the meal… or was that a mouse playing the trumpet while driving a Vespa?Music was culturally appropriate but not loud. Hence the awkwardness in the feeling of silence, that really wasn’t silent- Gina.Portion to $: 4/5Date spot: not a first date, but definitely if you’re already familiar.Apps vs desserts: get an extra appDestination: no, it’s a neighborhood jointCon: no beer, wine or spirits.
