City of Saints Coffee Roasters Introduce
For New York's dedicated coffee enthusiasts, City of Saints Coffee Roasters offers a truly unique experience that you won't find anywhere else. Located in a spacious warehouse-style building on the outskirts of Williamsburg, this cafe is not just a place to grab your daily caffeine fix; it’s a full-fledged roastery where the coffee is brewed and sold just feet from its source. This direct connection to the roasting process gives the space an authentic, immersive feel that is truly "more Brooklyn than this," as one reviewer put it. The cafe invites those who live nearby and those who are passionate enough to journey to the eastern edge of the neighborhood, promising a rewarding experience for all.
The atmosphere at City of Saints is a perfect blend of casual, cozy, and trendy. The warehouse setting, with its high ceilings and industrial feel, is softened by a welcoming and warm environment. It’s an ideal spot for a variety of purposes—whether you're looking for a quiet corner to work on your laptop, meeting up with a group of friends, or just needing a moment to yourself for solo dining. The crowd is diverse, attracting college students, local artists, and tourists alike, all drawn by the promise of exceptional coffee and a great vibe. One reviewer highlighted the "spacious warehouse-style" feel, noting that it's a place to "relax," while another mentioned the "light-speed wifi," making it a perfect spot for remote work.
While the focus is undoubtedly on the coffee, City of Saints offers a streamlined menu that caters to different tastes. They have a great tea selection, including loose-leaf options, and some unique seasonal drinks that add a bit of flair to their offerings. The simplicity of the menu allows the quality of the coffee to truly shine. This dedication to craft and quality is a core part of the City of Saints identity, making every cup a testament to their passion for coffee roasting. It’s a place that feels both like a community hub and a serious coffee laboratory, a combination that has earned it a loyal following.
---City of Saints Coffee Roasters is located at 297 Meserole St, Brooklyn, NY 11206. This address places it in a unique, gritty, and authentic industrial pocket of Brooklyn, right on the border of the Williamsburg and Bushwick neighborhoods. While some might consider it on the "outskirt of Williamsburg," this location is part of its charm. It's a destination for those who appreciate finding hidden gems away from the more crowded, tourist-heavy parts of the borough.
Getting there is relatively straightforward, especially for those familiar with the neighborhood. The Meserole Street location is within walking distance of the Montrose Avenue L train stop, providing easy access from Manhattan and other parts of Brooklyn. This makes it a great spot for a weekend visit or a daily commute stop for a high-quality coffee. The cafe also has a strong focus on accessibility, with a wheelchair-accessible entrance and wheelchair-accessible seating, ensuring that all guests can comfortably enjoy their visit.
Parking in the area can be challenging, as is common with many parts of New York City, so using public transportation is often the most convenient option. However, the reward of visiting this "warehouse-style" roastery is well worth the effort. The unique surroundings, with street art murals and a mix of artists' lofts and working warehouses, add to the cafe's distinct character and make the journey part of the experience. Its location and accessibility contribute to its reputation as a hidden gem for true coffee lovers.
---- Coffee and Tea: The primary service is, of course, a wide range of coffee and tea. They offer espresso, pour-over, drip coffee, and cold brew. The teas include loose-leaf and Chai latte options, while seasonal drinks like the Lavender Agave Iced Latte and Chamomile Sproda provide unique flavors.

- Atmosphere and Work Space: The cafe is a popular spot for working on a laptop, thanks to its spacious seating and reliable, light-speed Wi-Fi. It’s a comfortable and productive environment for students and remote workers.
- On-Site Roastery: The most significant highlight is that City of Saints roasts its own beans on-site. This means the coffee is incredibly fresh, and guests can witness the roasting process firsthand. It creates an authentic "from the source" experience that is rare and special.
- Exceptional Coffee: The quality of the coffee is consistently praised by patrons. One review noted the "amazing coffee," while another mentioned how it "doesn't get more brooklyn than this" due to the freshness. They use high-end equipment like the Victoria Arduino espresso machine to ensure a perfect cup every time.
- Unique Atmosphere: The warehouse-style space is a major draw. It’s a casual, cozy, and trendy environment that is perfect for a variety of occasions. The large, open space and minimalist design provide a relaxing backdrop for conversation or work.
- Great Tea Selection: For non-coffee drinkers, the cafe offers a great tea selection, including loose-leaf options, which are highly appreciated.
- Fast Service: Customers commend the fast service, ensuring a quick and efficient experience even during busy times. This is a crucial feature for a cafe in a fast-paced city like New York.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This spacious warehouse-style coffee roastery is located at the far outskirt of Williamsburg, inviting those who live nearby and who are passionate enough to come all the way to the east. Amazing coffee, great service, light-speed wifi are guaranteed.
June 08 · Kyuwon LeeIt doesn’t get more brooklyn than this. Fresh coffee sold from the source. They brew and box their coffee feet from where you sit down to drink it. I am personally not a fan of the coffee, but many people love it. They could use more pastries and a better selection of sweeteners and milk.
January 07 · Chris HallGreat place just on the border of Bushwick and east Williamsburg. Super fresh and tasteful coffee. Roasters and cafe all together.
December 15 · Sergii StarostinOne of the most authentic coffee places in town. Messerole street itself is a piece of art. City of Saints really blended in well with that vibe. Roastery/ bar combined with amazing coffee. Definitely a must go
October 31 · Jort DijkGiven it a 5 for the wall art and general coolness, but note it does not have a bathroom.
November 24 · Stephen Markacs
