★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We decided to give this new restaurant a try. Unfortunately I am a little disappointed. We went there for lunch at 12:45 pm and placed an order of beef chow fun and clay pot rices and others. Fifteen minutes later, the waitress informed us that they don’t have chow fun noodle anymore. I was really surprised. This restaurant opens 22 hours a day. How can the chow funs be sold out in just 4.5 hours since it’s open for the day? Being that this restaurant is surrounded by so many supermarkets, it’s not hard to get more flat noodles immediately. We decided to order chow Kuei Teow instead but were not sure if they will have. We asked the waitress if they have no Kuei Teow, we will take Singaporean fried mai fun instead. The waitress said she would check and let us know, but she never came back. We wanted to assume that Kuei Teow is availableAt about 2 pm, neither the clay pot rice nor Kuei Teow came. We asked the waitress to check. She did not place an any order. We asked if they took the order of clay pot rice as we waited for over an hour. She said it’s coming but we still had to wait for another 10 min.I totally understand that this place is new and can be chaotic as it’s very busy. However I do expect the servers to follow up the orders and attentive. As far as the place is concerned, we say in a 8 ppl table. I found it very comfortable as you have you own little areaClay pot rice is alright. Fish congee is good. Wonton noodle is alright. Price is reasonable
September 03 · Eret GnowAll the reviews I read about this place were right. The staff seemed completely unorganized, running around without any clear idea of what they were doing. From the moment we sat down, it was a mess.No menus were given (they had run out or straight up forgot), no drinks (other than plain tea), and essentially no service at all. It took them a while to seat us but once we were seated, they just left us there with no menus or even utensils like the plates and cups. Despite plenty of empty tables, the reservation screen at the front claimed there were 55 people ahead of us, even though the restaurant was empty towards the back for plenty of seating for just 3 people. When we finally got cups, they were dirty. After pointing it out, the waitress actually told us to just clean them ourselves. The utensils were also dirty, so we ended up wiping them down on our own. Many tables around us were cluttered with trash, which made the whole place feel poorly run. It was hard to tell whether they were short-staffed or simply had no system in place. Food also seemed a bit overpriced as well but I wouldn’t even be able to tell since we didn’t have a proper menu. Some tables around us got a menu but my table didn’t get anything. The only positive was the décor and atmosphere, which were pleasant. But the food didn’t live up to it. After waiting more than 30 minutes, our meals arrived lukewarm and bland and the sauces on the tables were all empty. I get that our claypot dish takes a while but the staff told us to wait around 20ish minutes but it took over 30 minutes. Service never improved—we sat there waiting and had to flag people down for the most basic requests.Overall, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. While the atmosphere was nice, everything else—from the lack of service, to the dirty tableware, to the long waits and tasteless food—was far below expectations. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.
September 02 · cirryThis restaurant just opened on Flushing Main St and I was excited to give it a try. The food was okay overall, though I expected a bit more. The cucumber salad in particular was underwhelming. It is usually such a simple and refreshing dish, but here it didn’t quite come together. On a good note, the char siu rice was really good and definitely stood out on the menu. The interior is beautiful, modern, and very well designed. I’ve currently been waiting 40 minutes and counting for my clay pot as I write this. The staff seemed a bit inexperienced and were running around trying to keep up. The only one who seemed confident and knowledgeable was one gentleman on the team. The floors were also extremely slippery, which felt like a real safety concern. With stronger oversight and maybe some new management, I think this place could really shine. Right now it feels more like style over substance, but the potential is definitely there.Edit, after another 15 minutes our clay pots arrived. It was pretty good
September 04 · Vivian MarieAmazing food & service. Must try! Clean and fast.Claypot so crispy!! If you want to eat nice food at nice restaurant this is the spot!!!!
August 31 · Soohyun SeolFood was too greasy. Also expensive compared to competitors in the area. Like we ordered half duck and was $40 and gotta tax tip on top. They didnt cut the duck thin. Some pieces were huge and hard to eat. We went during night time so maybe staffing were low. Service was a bit slow too.
