The primary appeal lies in the Authenticity and Flavor of the Main Dishes. Customers consistently rave about the genuine taste, particularly in the slow-cooked entrees. The Brown Stew Chicken, for instance, is noted for its exceptional flavor and the authentic seasoning of the accompanying Rice and Peas, which features traditional elements like a "hint of ginger." Identifying as a Black-owned business that actively promotes an LGBTQ+ friendly and safe environment, this location is a positive contributor to the diverse fabric of Brooklyn. While a reviewer noted some inconsistency in staff attitude and ambiance, the general consensus on the food quality—especially the famous patties and highly seasoned stews—remains very strong. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The cashier had a disgusting attitude — completely rude and dismissive for no reason. If the look matched the attitude, maybe it would make more sense, but unfortunately, it was just an all-around unpleasant experience. I won’t be coming back. Do better.
July 20 · Nick joseph JosephI’ve had meal at this golden krust before, however, I felt obligated talk about this stew chicken. I don’t know who the cook was on that day but believe me when I tell you flavor. I could taste the hint of ginger in the rice and peas, just the way we did it back home. Couple that with the season chicken; my taste buds keep buzzing. They got three stars because of the ambiance. It’s poorly lit, the rainbow cake seem damp for pastry. The staff is efficient and you just can’t get beef patties wrong.
November 02 · Mr. ShillingtonThe worst. Their food is never ready on time. Nothing is unlocked. You cant order anything until they unlock the manu and it takes forever. It's 11;30 now and still nothing is unlock for lunch.
July 25 · Mohammed Islam2nd time ordering from this store on Uber eats and still got old stale food! First order the Tito was hard and dry like sand paper! My coco bread a had a section that completely dried out. I decided to try again and todays SAME THING coco bread was old as if it was left out. Beef patty was soft and flimsy! Horrible location out of all Brooklyn locations
February 03 · kehlani CortezLight skinned lady with glasses shouldn’t work the register because she doesn’t have good customer service. I can’t enjoy the food with bad attitude.
