La Maison du Chocolat Penn Station Introduce
Located within the majestic Moynihan Train Hall, La Maison du Chocolat Penn Station brings a touch of Parisian elegance and artistry to the heart of New York City. This boutique is more than just a chocolate shop; it is a confectionery store and a gift shop, embodying the rich heritage and meticulous craftsmanship of a true French chocolate artisan. Since its founding in 1977, La Maison du Chocolat has been a globally recognized name, renowned for its commitment to using the finest cocoas and fresh ingredients. The brand's creations, including their signature dark chocolate ganaches and pralines, are a testament to this legacy. The Penn Station location, which opened in 2022, is designed to provide both commuters and tourists with a quick and convenient way to experience this world-class chocolate. Stepping into the boutique, you are immediately transported from the bustling train hall to a world of luxury and indulgence, where every piece of chocolate is a work of art.
The core of La Maison du Chocolat's offerings is its selection of exquisite chocolates, which are handcrafted in their atelier near Paris. Their expertise in elevating the ganache to an art form is particularly notable, with finely chopped chocolate blended with fruit purees or delicate infusions. The Penn Station location offers a curated selection of these masterworks, including pre-selected gift boxes that are perfect for any occasion. Patrons can find a variety of signature collections, from assorted dark and milk chocolate boxes to special seasonal assortments. The "ganache wizardry" of the founder, Robert Linxe, and the continued innovation under chef Nicolas Cloiseau, are evident in every bite. While the focus is on chocolates, the shop also offers a selection of other treats, including macarons and pastries, such as chocolate éclairs and entremet cakes, providing a comprehensive dessert experience. The quality and taste are consistently praised by customers, who describe the chocolates as "very good," "decadent, creamy, rich," and "exquisite."

April 27 · George BenaroyaGreat chocolate, awesome customer service. I would definitely recommend and I will be returning.
August 26 · Miss TwentyMy experience shopping here today was made extra special by the sales woman (Stephanie…I hope I remembered correctly!). She is so so sweet and friendly. She made my day. I hope she is appreciated by her employer(s).
June 26 · Bonnie ChaplinLove their macarons always! I would always stop by to grab for friends before leaving the city. I went there again an hour before mentioned closing time. Sadly, no macarons on display, so I asked a woman with a high bun if they had any left. She said no which I understand since it is a small shop. However, I was shocked when I saw stacked macarons in plastic containers right behind her. She looked very moody, so I did not address the issue. I had to settle for Laduree which is located close by. Last time I purchased from here was from a guy who was nice enough to tell me when the macarons will be restocked since they did not have enough on display. I was shocked to find that this time I could not get macarons when they were right in front of me. Hope it was some kind of store policy for closing time, but it was an uncomfortable experience.Update: I am glad that they are willing to address the issue. Despite the experience last time, I love their macarons. I would give it another try next time.
