The lady at the front is very friendly and speaks Spanish and English. I’ve been there twice so far, food was tasty, and plan to keep coming back.

We came in this morning to buy alfajores and a few other items for family. The bakery was extremely hot — no AC or fan — and NYC is in the middle of a heatwave. It’s unsanitary to keep cookies, cakes, and pastries out in that kind of heat, especially since they contain milk and dairy. These items should be stored in the display fridge.We spent nearly $40 and had asked for the cookies/alfajores from the display fridge, but were handed the ones from the counter instead. They were stale and tasted off — likely from being left out in the heat too long.We also got some empanadas, but few were the wrong flavors, and the staff didn’t seem sure which was which. Labeling or using different shapes would definitely help.Overall, a disappointing experience — especially after traveling a long way to try this place.
